Amazing Race Show Discussion
What'd ya think of the first show?

I was wondering why they were bothering running as a mob at the very beginning, when several fell. I guess it was just adrenaline, to finally be going. But you knew the first clue would be to get a plane, so getting the clue one minute later wouldn't make a difference.

Two teams bothered me.
1) The girl cousins where one is a midget. They kept complaining that "no one is helping us". Did they think they'd win this race because people would feel sorry for the midget and help them? I'd rather they be independent! Or, if you want to get help, first you need to give help - not the other way around like they were saying.
2) The team that says they're Christian. When he decided to walk to the pier without consulting her, he said in their private interview "She needs to learn to trust God in this race." In other words, "God talks to me and not her and she should just shut up about it and do whatever I say because God likes me best." Ugh! Women have been subjugated for centuries with that crap and I can't respect any guy who throws it, and I just wanna shake any gal who takes it.

The team that lost was really slow! They got beat out by a guy who just got 25 stitches and TWO teams that had to go back and get a clue! At least they seemed like good sports about it. But I didn't understand what they said about losing because he was such a nice guy. All I saw "nice" was him holding up the ticket line to get on the slow plane, so the twin girls could get tickets on it too. He would have had tickets on the slow plane if he'd held the line or not. And the other three teams who were on that plane didn't do all that bad. But he earned "ill will" by holding up the line, so I doubt would have won even if they'd survived this round.

I was wondering the same thing. But i guess it is just because they wanted the better plane. But so many of them tripped over each other. It was just stupid.

I also thought it was neat to see Alison and her boyfriend on the show. I loved Alison on Big Brother. I hope they get far.

I missed then ending of the show. Who came in first place?

I am bummed! I have only watched the last 15 min (the rest is on video tape and I am about to watch all of it) but Allison and Donny are gone! Crap! Sorry, but I love Allison! :rubeye
