 Anonymous tip
The envelope arrived via special delivery and was left on the Captains desk. It contained the same basic information that had been sent to another source.

Information on the person responsible for the explosives planted in both the Crown building and in the harbor explosion. An apartment rented under the name ‘Marvin Lester’ at 1077 West 38th Street, Los Angeles, Ca 90037. Found on site after an eviction was one of the fire extinguishers from the Crown Building, and a fuel canister, the type of which is used for commercial shipping freighters.

“If you want the guy that blew the Crown building to hell and set fire to the harbor go pick him up at 1419 Westwood Blvd. Don’t bother knocking he’s too tied up to answer.”

The letter was signed simply
