Arriving at Balamb Garden
"...Of course.” he quickly said, thankful that they'd actually reached a seemingly harmless area.
Quite a few people, all of whom appeared to be students, were walking to and from a variety of buildings surrounding an even larger structure built in the center.
It was clear that the party was exhausted, as even he himself was worn out from the long trek through the forest. He decided that it'd be best to take a short break, and made a place for himself on the large fountain that lay straight ahead of them. As peaceful as the newly found region was, the only thought on Brandon’s mind was where to go next.
He couldn’t help but question just how long they could keep running from their troubles, and that thought alone prevented him from relaxing at all.
A man in a red vest approached the group as if he expected them. He was an older man, but by no means was he anyone's grandfather. "Greetings. I personally welcome you to Balamb Garden. I am Cid, the headmaster of this school. Why have you come here?"

Cid scratched the back of his head. "There is a port at the Fisherman's Horizon, but you've been walking the wrong way for that. We do have an airship, though. It is faster than normal ships, but we'll need some time to get it ready."

Arriving at Balamb Garden
"Oh," Brandon said, a little disappointed. "Alright, that'll be fine."
Brandon rubbed the back of his neck. It was a big gamble staying on the continent even for another hour or two, much less however long it'd take for this airship of theirs to be all set to go.
Then again, it’s not like any of them had much choice.
"Do you know of anywhere around here where we could kill time until it's ready? We've been walking for a while now, and it'd be nice to relax for a change." Edited by: Brandon1091 at: 9/24/05 2:57 pm

Cid nods to the group he speaks into a small microphone on his vest. "SeeD #4891, Corynth. SeeD #3280, Trinia. Come to my position immediately."
In less than a minute, a man with short black hair, Corynth, and a woman with long platinum hair, Trinia, flanked the headmaster. They spoke not a word. Cid crossed his arms. "Take these people to private quarters. You will later escort them to the airship. Understood."
In unison, they reply, "Understood."

Arriving at Balamb Garden
The party had entered the large structure built in the center of Balamb Garden some time back, and since then had been walking down literally hundreds of lengthy, narrow hallways.
Gopperama, whose health was clearly getting the better of him was trailing somewhat far behind the rest of the group along with Rina. The worren was standing somewhat close to him, constantly shifting her eyes left and right. It was clear that she was still a little nervous of the whole situation.
The Princess, who had been strangely quiet as of late, was directly behind Brandon and hadn't spoken a word since they'd arrived. The Myridian knight wasn't sure exactly where the two SeeD members were taking any of them, but the people here seemed trustworthy nonetheless, so he simply trudged on with them somewhat reluctantly.
Surprisingly, neither Corynth nor Trinia were showing any signs of fatigue. Brandon sped up a little, and caught up with Trinia.
He coughed a little to catch her attention. She turned in his direction, without a break of any kind in her walking pattern.

Re: Arriving at Balamb Garden
Corynth turned his head slightly, but kept on the same pace. "You are being taken to your quarters while we ready the airship. It will not take long."
For a good part of an hour they walked until the two students stopped in front of a small branch of hallway that was full of doors. Trinia smiled to the tired group. "Just come this way, alright? Not much longer."
Corynth walked down the hall alone, checking vacancies... One was occupied without unauthorization. "What...? How could this happ-"
The door exploded into many metal shards as an almost globe-shaped, afro-haired man burst through. One of his arms was completely mechanical and held the male SeeD in his tight grip with hands larger than the Gopper's. Trinia screamed and backed up against the railing.

The Afro-Haired Android
It took awhile for the young knight to soak all of this in, since it had taken place so abruptly. His psyche was in a state of disarray, generally due to the recent lack of sleep, and for a short amount of time, he wasn't even sure if what had just happened actually did. As of late, the veil between reality and fiction was a thin one. Silence enshrouded him as everything going on seemed to be going at a snail’s pace.
Rina's piercing scream broke through, snapping him out of the daze. As exhausted as he was he had no choice in the matter.
The Myridian knight unsheathed his blade and ran into battle. Edited by: Brandon1091 at: 11/13/05 5:52 pm
Re: The Afro-Haired Android
The android brought up it's other mechanical arm, but at the end of it was not a hand. It was a cannon. Energy swirled around it as it charged at the rushing hero.

The Afro-Haired Android
Just as the behemoth neared him, Brandon dove to the side, swiftly driving his sword across the Android’s backside forcefully. The slash however, didn't even penetrate the skin.
The machine came to a halt and turned around to face the knight. His eyes glowed faintly with a dim, dark blue glow as he slowly lumbered back. The Myridian knight was a little puzzled at this, but kept his guard up nonetheless.
In an instant a massive discharge of energy shot out of beast’s hand canon. Brandon quickly jumped to the side, barely escaping death. The heat alone from the passing blast burned his back even through his armor. It continued across the room, and with a thunderous explosion, crashed into one of the walls. The Android lumbered towards the knight, each step shaking the very ground underneath him.
Holding up his shield, Brandon fearfully began walking back, almost tripping on some debris left over from the previous shot. The Android's expression remained blank, however it was clear he knew he had the battle won. Suddenly breaking into a charge, he began rushing towards the knight.
...Brandon suddenly had an idea.
Positioning himself in front of the large, gaping hole, the knight stood, shield up, ready to move out of the way just before the enemy made contact....
Brandon's armor began moving as the android came closer and closer. Suddenly, Brandon was launched off his feet and towards the android. Trinia's eyes widened. "An electromagnetic field! Take off your armor, quick!"
But it was too late. Brandon was "glued" to the android by the armor as the android ran off the edge of the deck. Wind rippled around him as the mechanical monster fell with him. Fell to the ground. Fell from many stories to their doom.

The Afro-Haired Android
Even as they fell, time seemed to have slowed down. The world surrounding the knight was nothing but a unmoving blur. The only distinct thought that crossed his mind was the depressing reality that he was leaving his party behind. It was a disturbing reflection for one to think upon in their last moments of life, and it pained him to no end.
The last thing he heard was a nauseating thud as the android crashed upon him.
