Does anybody know any good writers newsletters and ezines?
I am looking for informative newsletters and ezines for freelance writers. I also wonder if anyone has come across any good directories of newsletters and ezines?

Uh, have you checked out Jenna's Absolute Write Newsletter? The free one is great. The premium edition which I believe costs $15 a year is a total bargain and full of help. I'll be ordering it next month Jenna, when I have some money.

That's good to know. I was thinking about that too but hadn't decided either way yet.

here are some of the ones I subscribe to along with Jenna's wonderful newsletter - I'm giving the websites so you can subscribe via the site, plus see what resources they have:

www.writersweekly.com
www.writesuccess.com
www.writingfordollars.com
www.worldwidefreelance.com
www.food-writing.com

LOL, the last one is my newsletter, but the others provide articles on writing, plus markets.

also go to yahoogroups.com and find some of the writing newsletters that way - flashfictionflash, oh, I can't think of any others off my head.

best,
Pam

Hey there,

Some of the ones Pam suggested are great newsletters/websites-very informative and helpful. Check out writerssuccess.netfirms.com/ as well. Yes, it's mine! It features plenty of online guidelines, local writing groups, online classes, weekly articles, contests, and more.

Best Regards,

writing ezines
Hi Janet,

Back in June I started an ezine to help promote my writing services. It's actually geared towards folks who have to write on the job or for organizations that they belong to, but for business-minded writers, especially newbies, I think some of the information could be helpful. You can sign up to receive the ezine on my website, or just click the "Ezine" link to view archives at www.cassiehartwriter.com/

Also check out www.coolstuff4writers.com. There's lots of goodies and helpful info here...and the site is expanding all the time. You can sign up for the coolstuff ezine at the top of the page.

Meg Weaver at Wooden Horse sends out a really great newsletter on markets and magazine news (mostly print magazines).

And don't forget Mridu Khullar's newsletter and site:

www.writerscrossing.com/

She posts here from time to time, and I've gotten some good markets from her newsletter as well as from the complimentary e-book.
