Famous Blue Raincoat
We played a gig with a local band at The Arch Street Tavern, they were very good and very tight, catchy songs with great hooks and melodies.
They are called Famous Blue Raincoat.
Yellow 9 however experienced the worst night of our career and managed to not hit one right note or stay in time for a second, it was unreal. Hands down the worst gig we have played in 5 years of gigging.
The best part you ask? Tom Pizzola from the Advocate was there and I imagine his review is going to reflect our inability to jam on said night. Oh well, such is life and no excuses will be made, just a bad night.
I saw F.B.R. briefly and would really have to see them again to register an opinion.
As for having a bad night:
1) Fuck it, it happens.
2) We've had them, then been told we were fabulous - it's in the eyes and ears of the beholder.
3) Tom is a smart guy, he'd probably know a good band having a bad night if he saw one.
Re: Famous Blue Raincoat
Okay, I just saw Famous Blue Raincoat - they're really an amazingly polished power pop band. If I were a label, I'd be watching them very closely.
