Wow, that is some find! It's sort of scary actually. In a weird way.
It would be very neat if they could find out about the warm blooded/cold blooded thing though. And if the dinosaurs really are related to birds. I was a dino-freak when I was a kid, hehe.

DNA is hardy, but I'm not sure it's THAT hardy! lol
They always say that you can leave DNA in the fridge for decades and it'll still work experiment-wise. RNA, on the other hand, you sneeze at it and it goes bad. >_<
Anyway, that's a really exciting find! I can't wait until I get that Science issue in the mail!

that would be so cool if they could do something like that. I mean, take dna and splice it to another animal. thus have new species.
I think it's really cool that they found the tissue. It will hopefully bring alot of new information into view about the past.
Cloning a dinasuar, or using it's DNA to make a new species, is the most stupid thing I can think of. I hope NO ONE does that. They are extinct, please let them stay that way.

I agree.
For one thing, if they attempt to clone these creatures it's gonna fuck up the ENTIRE food chain because the prey animals they ate in the stone age aren't around anymore. These guys were huge, you couldn't fill them up.
So not only would they go on a freakin' rampage if they got loose, but they just might starve if not given enough to eat. The ethical quandries abound. @_@
