Many years have passed, since Harry Potter defeated Lord Voldemort, and there has been peace in the Wizarding world ever since. Nearly all the Teachers from that time has long since retired, and a New wave of Teachers have taken their place. There is also a New Headmaster by the name of Van Cammera Ranger, he is the youngest Wizard to be Headmaster in the entire history of HogWarts. Not only is there a New Headmaster, but there is also a New Deputy Headmistress who is non other than the beautiful Kahlan Moonfire.

Even though peace has reined throughout the Wizarding community, lately there have been some strange events taking place, rumors begin spreading that a New Dark Lord has risen, and is far more Powerful than Lord Voldemort. Not much is known about this so called New Dark Lord, or even if there is one, but rumors say that Witches, and Wizards have been losing their Magical abilities all around the world. The Ministry has investigated, yet they have found no clues to what is happening, but one thing is for sure things seem to be going into dark times again.

In answer to this The Ministry has ordered that HogWarts, and all other Schools of Magic to tighten their security, in order to protect their students, The Ministry has also ordered that ALL students devote as much time to their studies as possible especially Defense Against The Dark Arts, in case dark times do fall upon the world again they would be able to help. Rumors continue to spread throughout the Wizarding community, and things seem to be getting worse as more Witches and Wizards are reported to be loosing their Magical abilities.

Further Investigation brings new light on what is happening, a major breakthrough happens when The Ministry finds that Witches, and Wizards are being stripped of their powers by somehow using candles, which are made of a special wax. More leads follow that makes them believe that the ones responsible are residing at HogWarts possibly posing as Students, Staff, or could even be hiding somewhere in London.
It is now known that the rumors that had been spreading through out the entire Wizarding world, are not rumors at all they are in fact true....

Prelude To The Plot:

As even more Witches, and Wizards continue to loose their Magical Power, more disturbing things continue to follow, when Ministry Witches, and Wizards loose their powers, followed by the entire Hogwarts Staff, including the current Headmistress, Professor Vallataya Sango. Several Witches and Wizards have even died, from losing their powers, Sango took it upon herself to find New leaders for Hogwarts in this dark time, she chose a young man by the name of Van Cammera Ranger, who was barley out of Hogwarts himself.

She also recommended a Deputy Headmistress, Kahlan Moonfire, whom was also quite young, but Vallataya Sango felt they were the best choices. The Teachers of Hogwarts are being replaced by much younger Teachers than was ever allowed, because the remaining aged, and skilled Wizards, and Witches, are extremely few. All the Witches, and Wizards that have been stripped of their Powers from all over the world, have been moved to St. Mungo's resulting in it being extremely crowed, and had to be Magically expanded.
