Honda bites the dust (the snow actually)
Not really a racing tale, but a speed tale which, unfortunately ended not so good for the driver.
It's wednesday morning and I'm going to work via Henri Bourassa westbound. There's 2 lanes which are clear of snow, and the far-right one is all slushy. Our brilliant Honda driver (older gen Accord) decides that he needs to hurry up because his Honda is better than a 4x4 and takes the far right lane. Fair enough right ? Wrong.
About a minute into his slippery joyride (and on a dead-straightaway) this guy actually loses control of his car. Back goes sideways...then the other side...oversteers, counters too much again, then Boom, over the sidewalk straight into 10' snowbank with an electricity pole sticking right out of it. As I drive by, this guy's car is at a 45 degree angle vertically with the nose straight into that freakin pole.
Needless to say that woke me up. The morale : Slow the f*ck down (when you have no grip)! )
Later !
