I saw Spirited Away on DVD Pretty good, though I had to pause when the clerk at the video store asked if I was gonna watch it with my kid(s). The clerk recommended that I see it even though it's a cartoon. (note for those not in the know, I have no kids) |

Re: I saw Spirited Away on DVD
This is something I've never seen ... not even familiar with it really ... you'd recommend it though?

Re: I saw Spirited Away on DVD Whoa, never saw the reply. Personally, my tastes run to Tenchi Muyo, Pat Labor, Cowboy Bepop, etc. Spirited Away is definitely for families/kids. But, given that, it was worth a cheap rental.

Re: I saw Spirited Away on DVD I think I know which one your talking about. My personal favorite of a similar genre (or any genre quite frankly) is Princess Mononoke, which I can't spell. I've seen it several times and would never hesitate to see it again. One day when I have a more steady cash inflow I'm going to start building up my DVD collection, and start with that one. |

Re: I saw Spirited Away on DVD Yeah its a kids movie, but everyone seems to like it. I watched it three times just because of the cuteness factor. I usually like things a tiny bit more morbid, but pretty and cute works. If taken the wrong way, some of the characters would be down right frightening, but over all it was pretty and cute. Cowboy Bebop and Inuyasha are two of my favorites. I liked Princess Mononoke too, but I was left wanting the story to go on after it had ended. I suppose thats a good thing. |

Re: I saw Spirited Away on DVD Princess Mononoke Yeah, I keep meaning to see that too. I like Inuyasha, esp. the one ending theme, but I only see what they show on Cartoon Network. I own a few Cowboy Beebop cd's, as well as some of the Tenchi Muyo movies. My favorite though, for some odd reason, is the (second?) Pat Labor movie, which I don't own. |
