Jack Kingsly
Out of character information:
Name: Jae
Contact: AIM - BucketFullofHero
In Character Information:
LONER
Avatar: Heath Ledger
Name: Jack Kingsly
Alias: The Wire
Age: Twenty-Eight Yrs. Old [28]
Family:
- Ronald Kingsly [Father / Alive]
- Martha Kingsly [Mother / Alive]
- Jeremiah Kingsly [Twin Brother / Alive]
Occupation:
Contract Hacker - He works for many different people, and they all want the same thing; computer files disappear and change everyday, it's a very common occurance, and while some people never notice, it can change the course of an important trial or lead to the disappearance of a vital individual. It may even lead to the liquidation of certain funds between two different accounts.
Weapons:
- Modified Sony VAIO laptop
- Desert Eagle Mark XIX
- Jack can also physically defend himself if he's caught without his gun. Living life and working for scary people does not leave one protected from other bad people, and Jack's done his fair share of fist fighting during his life. He's no kung-fu master, but he has good foot-work and knows how to throw a punch like a pro.
Description: Good looks seem to run through the Kingsly family. Whereas Jeremiah has dirty blonde hair and blue eyes, his only sibling has the same dirty blonde hair, but he adopted the deep, chocolate brown eyes from his mother, turned up slightly around the edges as if somewhere back in the branches of his family history had been a man or woman of Oriental descent. Outside of his eyes, however, the obviousness of his Irish-Germanian heritage is nearly staggering. His skull lately is nearly always shaven, kept cut close to the head, and his crown is a smooth arch. His brow is medium set, not soft but certainly not large and notable as, say, a Russian's would be. His eyebrows are a few shades darker than the hair on his head, and they are somewhat feminine in that they are not thick and they tend to stand out in a delicate manner. Jack's nose is somewhat thick, not exactly bulbious but getting close, but it does not take away from his handsome visage in the least. Beneath this are his lips, thin set but almost always widened into a dazzling grin. When Jack flashes that smile, he almost looks regal; his smile has melted the hearts of many women.
Jack's build doesn't quite match with his nickname ('The Wire'), for he is not wiry in the least. He does stand at a semi-impressive 6'2, but his body is thicker in muscle mass, evenly spread throughout. Not a regular to the gym, Jack is naturaly not rock hard nor very muscular at all. The muscle mass he has now is natural, and he simply is not fat because he doesn't eat that much. Not exactly the image of the classic computer geek that most of today's generation has gotten lodged into their skulls. Jack's a geek, yes, but he doesn't spend every moment of every day in front of the computer. He is not tanned, not in the sense that he's burnt to a crisp and at great risk for skin cancer, but the pigment of his skin is relatively dark compared to the hours he spends working on his laptop or his system directory. The most likely cancer jack's going to catch is lung cancer; you can almost never find him without a cigarette propped between his lips, choking away on nicotine at all hours of the day (and night). His teeth aren't perfect, a tad yellow, but they're still pretty straight and most girls tend not to notice as long as his breath remains fresh. That or they're too stoned to notice.
When it comes to style and clothing, Jack is similar but a little more into his outfit than his brother is when he leaves the apartment. When inside, he can be found wearing nothing more than a pair of mangy boxers, sometimes a t-shirt, but when he leaves to go anywhere, he dons a clean pair of jeans and a shirt, be it button-up or tee. His style does vary, however, and often times he'll add a little something to make him stand out in the crowd, especially when going to a party. The only constant to his daily outside apparell is the pair of John Lennon style sunglasses he always seems to wear. They're nearly always perched upon his nose or resting on the stop of his skull, and why he wears them all the time, only Jack and Jeremiah know. Jack's a die-hard Beatles fan, one of their biggest of this day and age, and this is a pair reputed to have been owned by Mr. Lennon himself, though Jack hasn't bothered to look into it and see if it's true or not. Keeps a sense of mystery about the item.
Personality: What makes a man indesputedly independant? Why, his belief that only he can control his own life and destiny, of course. No one quite believes in this like Jack Kingsly, twin brother and hacker extraordinaire. His life has been one of his own making, an extremely strange life ever since he graduated high school to be honest. Not many kids make it that far in Jones City, lovingly dubbed 'Savage' by its occupants, and Jack just so happened to make it to the middle of his second year of college before deciding to drop out and make it on his own, with or without a legit license to do so since he doesn't really care if what he's doing is legal or not. He doesn't believe that all rules of life apply to him, since he makes his own way in the world, working through the underground for very scary individuals who need him to help them do their very scary work when it involves computer files. Some people would say he's in too deep, but Jack knows that he's highly valued by too many people to be in danger of one of them killing him off. He's very overconfident in that regard. Probably too overconfident, really.
Jack is a man who loves computers. It's as simple as that. Ever since he was little, he'd always found them fascinating and had known since before he'd entered middle school that his occupation for life would be something involving a computer somewhere in front of him. Don't get him wrong, of course, Jack isn't one of those nerds that sit behind a computer screen day in and day out, looking for a meaning to his existance in codes and files. Jack also happens to love women, books, music, and above all, partying seems to take a pretty high regard in his life. One can always find him during the night hours dancing away in some underground club somewhere. He's not above getting the least amount of sleep possible, and while it often reflects on his health fairly poorly, one might be surprised at how little it effects his abilities to functions when it comes to his laptop and hacking skills. Even when running on no sleep for forty-eight hours, Jack can enter almost any mainframe on the world's interface within an hour. He's not some miracle child of technology; Jack worked hard to get as good as he is.
The second son of Ronald and Martha Kingsly (by only two minutes, mind you) has always believed that hard work gets you where you want to go, and that's why he's in firm control of his own life. A slacker relies on other people to get things done for him, and in that regard, he always ends up being controlled in the end. Jack might like to party hard and sleep little, but that doesn't mean he doesn't earn his cash when it comes right down to it. Also, he doesn't wash it all away, either. He stores three-fifths of each payment in his banking account and stashes one-fith in cash in a garbage bag under a loose board in his apartment floor. The last fifth? Well, that's disposable; he uses it for partying and for his family, who don't know about this alternate business he runs. They think he's just a good ol' boy making decent money at some computer factory. He'd rather his parents didn't know, because they're good honest folks and he wouldn't want them to get hurt in case something bad happened to him. The same could be said for his brother. Jeremiah and Jack are as close as twins could get, though they do often have those moments when sibling rivalry seems to great for them to stick it out.
The difference, though, is that Jeremiah does know a bit about what Jack really does. It's hard pressed for Jack to keep such a big secret from his brother, with whom he'd shared so many trials, tribulations, and laughs with. Jeremiah can keep a secret, he doesn't go around bragging to everyone that will listen that his brother is The Wire, for christsake's. In Jeremiah, Jack holds a deeply seated trust, and he would give up his life for his brother if it came down to it. Though they have their difficulties, it's his brother, his twin, the other half of his genetic code, and that makes them closer than brothers: it makes them blood and bone. And much like his brother, Jack has a bit of an impulsiveness still left over from their childhood days, though Jack controls his better than Jeremiah since he has a bit more at stake than his twin does when it comes to life. Jack does like the occasional surprise however, doing something randomly and for fun, and it wouldn't be beyond him to take some girl he's only just met up to the country for a few days, a lust-filled weekend that would end when they got back.
Jack's not exactly a romantic man, persay, but he's got a way with the ladies. Perhaps it's his looks, perhaps its some of the charm both he and his brother adopted from their father (a rigorous old coot, but still full of vitality that makes him seem fifteen years younger than his real age), but he's often times got a girl on his arm when he's seen in public, mostly at parties or the like. The trouble with this, however, is that these girls want to look deeper into his attentions than he really means for them to. Jack's a bachelor, he's not interested in settling down any time soon, though he does date on and off. These chicks, though, they want a good guy that'll take care of them, and that's just not Jack's rap. He's a bit of a heartbreaker, because the deepest love for a woman he's ever felt is the affection he'll always hold for his mother. For Jack, girls are for sex, and most of the ones that give it up to him, are too slutty to marry anyway. If he does ever get married, Jack wants a good, decent woman. However, he doesn't really think that's going to happen for some time. Love just doesn't seem to be in those stars he's cast for himself.
