[good old fashioned ass kicking][novice // January can defend herself, but in anything outside of a small bar fight, she'll probably get her ass kicked if she doesn't have either her guns or her knife on her]
Description: Looking so young never looked so good. A woman of twenty-two, this Old Town girl can prep herself up to look as young as thirteen, depending on the tastes of the customer. Her size, a petite 5'2, only adds to the image. January has long, slender legs, or at least, long for her size, which are connected to shapely hips and a slender upper torso. Her body is petite, still young and appearing to still be growing though January already knows that she'll be this tiny for the rest of her life. Her skin is smoothe, nearly porcelain, and she enjoys this doll-like image it gives her... though she is anything but an innocent little doll. She's not exactly pale, but she can appear pallid at times, a natural skin tone that she's developed since she mostly only goes outside during the night hours anymore. Her body is toned, not muscular but not flabby, either... very childlike in appearance, outside of her bosom, which has reached its full size some years ago.
January's hair is the darkest black, naturally, and whether it be as long as her waist or as short as her ears, it's always sleek and luxorious, full of bounce and volume. It frames a face as delicate and cold as any doll's, childlike as the rest of her. A prominant chin, tiny nose, and broad, pink cheeks adorn her features. Her most prominant feature, however, are her eyes. Wide-set below slender, arching dark brows, they are a dark hazel in color; chocolate brown around the irises and forest green near the edges. A forest of lashes surround them. They are lovely eyes, large and warm despite the edgy youth of her face. They say that eyes are the window to the soul, and in January's case, this may very well be true. Despite the rest of her, those eyes can give everything away if she does not hide her feelings good enough. They can speak volumes of the mistrust she feels for everything and everyone.
Personality: January is not nicknamed the Lolita just for her appearances alone. In a way, she's very young at heart, very childlike, and it's what throws people off a bit when meeting her for the first time. Those that know her, however, also know that beneath that mask of youth, a dangerous woman lurks. She appears always at some kind of game, either of words or of physical means, and her wit is sharper than a blade. A clever girl, January is not unused to getting in trouble because she's made a fool of someone in front of their friends. People don't like being told something they don't like about themselves, and January's quick to point out the flaws in other people. Some have even ventured to say she does it because she would rather ignore the flaws in herself, and they may very well be correct in such assumptions. January can be vicious when it comes to her own flaws, be they physical or mental.
To be honest, January's just a little bit crazy. Nothing extremely dangerous (she can manage being dangerous without having to be insane), but a little off kilter just the same. Perhaps it was the fact that she became a girl of the streets when she was fifteen. Perhaps it was the fact that her mother and sister died in front of her very eyes. Perhaps it's the fact that her brother and father are crooked cops that never gave two shits about what January did with her life until she became an Old Town girl. Her father won't speak to her, and her brother takes every chance he can to chastize her for becoming a 'whore'. No love is lost between them. Many things have come into play that have affected her in such a way that anyone that's gone through them would have gone just a bit crazy. Sufficent to say, January's been lucky to have not gone completely insane by now, though sometimes she wouldn't think of it that way.
Outside of this inner conflict, her emotions are few and far between. Love? Doesn't exist in January's world. Old Town girls can't afford to love; it's bad for business. Anger? Comes and goes. Anger at life, anger at her family, anger at everything. She's a bit of an enigma, just like everyone she knows. Everyone in Savage City these days has to be a bit of a mystery, so being one herself doesn't make January anymore special than anyone on the streets that she might meet. The girl doesn't have any disallusions about herself. She's dangerous, delicate, but she's no goddess, saint, or hero. January's just a girl trying to make her way in the world, the only way she knows how. Granted, she's good at what she does, but January does wish sometimes that she could have a job that wasn't so degrading at times. It hasn't been beyond her to go somewhere and be eyed funny. It seems that that Old Town girls have their own air about them that makes it easy to see what they really are.
January can be very practical at times. She grew up around men that cared little for her or her mother and sister. Only for themselves. She knows that she's not worth much besides a good fuck and an empty death; that's her practicality coming out. January just knows how to take care of herself, and while she may seem childlike in front of other people, there's a withered old woman inside. Well, perhaps not completely withered, but still, she has a bit of an old soul. Things that have shaped her life have taken from her what any young girl should have a right to in any other normal city: a childhood. Now, she clings to that nature so that she can pretend she could have that which had been denied her. It's what makes her so childlike. Now, she's living life day by day, doing what she does best, and taking her chances with life. She can play with a gun, but she can't change her past, and that's all there is to it. Nothing more, nothing less.
