She likes to be alone and read, unless an important conversation is going on, then she is very observant. She dosen't have any friends, she dosen't trust many people unless she really gets to know them.
When she does talk, she's usually sarcastic and brutally honest and out-spoken. Not exactly a proper lady, she has horrible manners and curses like a sailor in three languages.
She dosen't talk often, she prefers to watch and listen. She can fight, but hasn't been able to put much use to it often.
She learned her curses from a group of passing performers when she was 10. She's quite fond of her vocabulary. She's always been sarcastic and quiet, mostly because her mother is so overbearing and her father has no interest in her. It could also be because she wanted to be like her brother, the two could be twins if he wasn't older than her.
She also learned to fight from her brother Baylor, who is a knight.
Background: Kat and her family come from the small fief of Dun Indewood. Her family has lived there for a very long time. Currently, it's just her parents, Tess and Geoff, her two brothers, Tristan (11) and Baylor (20).
Dun Indewood is a forest fief with rich plants and soil. It is not often visited by others and is secluded, though far from the Scanran borders.
Physical Appearance:Kat is a somewhat unusual looking girl. She had pale skin, almost white and dark black hair that goes down to her mid-back. Her eyes are bright green, her other facial features are fairly normal. She has a small frame, she stands at 5'8 and weighs about 100lbs.
Back in Dun Indewood, she usually wore plain green dresses and left her hair down. This is her preferred atire but now she wears Convent worthy clothes, but keeps her hair down.
Strong Points:quick-thinking and calm Weaknessesbrutally honest and sarcastic Magic:Large amount of healing magic. It's a deep forest green colour. She was trained by her mother, a credited mage, since she was 6 or 7. She's extremelly good at using it. Pets:None Sample Post:
Kat sat in the hall with a bored look on her face. She sighed, all she had to do was sit there and look pretty whiled her father talked to dignitaries. She was about to fall asleep when a large, pompous looking man walked into the hall. He looked fairly normal, except for the cat shaped hat on his head.
When Kat saw this feline hat, she made no point to hold in her laughter. Her father looked over at her with an angry look on his face. "Kat, what is so bloody funny?" he manages to sputter out, while trying to hold back the rage.
"Well you see father dearest, that man's hat looks exactly like a cat, and since he seems rather pompous, you;d think he would be able to afford better fur." she said, giving her father a sarcastic grin. It was going to be an interesting day.

I like your application. I only have a few things to say about it before it's accepted: Since Katherine (or would you rather she be called Kat?) is fifteen, she probably won't be at the convent for very long, since girls generally leave at fifteen or sixteen. Also, I'd like a little more information in either personality or background on how Katherine came to be the way she is. Is there a reason she's so quiet? That she's sarcastic? Where did she learn to fight, and to curse in three different languages? Lastly, I'd like to know a little bit more about her magic. How strong is it, exactly, what color is it, and what kind of training does she have? Thanks very much for applying, and welcome to the game!

Looks great! I'm going to move this to the Accepted Characters forum. You can begin playing if you want to- although we don't have anyone to play Alanna yet, I'm going to be playing Delia, who's also at the convent.
