Kurt on Dec. 12 Today Show
Unfortunately, I found out about this too late to set my VCR to tape it, but Kurt was on the Today Show this morning. Apparently, he skated his Moondance program and did a short interview to plug his Gotta Skate special.

Well, at least one person at the Michelle Kwan Forum was able to catch Kurt's Today Show appearance--in person, no less:
The official SOI site is usually pretty good about announcing when skaters appear on the Today Show, but this is the second year in a row they forgot to mention Kurt's appearance. He also skated on the Today Show just before last year's NBC Gotta Skate broadcast, but hardly anyone got to see that appearance, either.

i didnt get to see this either. im pretty upset about it! this is all the more reason i always thought kurt needed an official website! then we would have never missed it!

I'm not sure how many other people here would remember, but Kurt did have an official website around 1997/98. Unfortunately, the site shut down after the webmaster moved overseas and Kurt hasn't had another official site since.
There were a lot of great things on that site (especially a few journal entries from Kurt!), but I don't think they ever did post TV updates on a regular basis there. I find official sites (except for, usually, the official SOI site) aren't usually the best place to get information about TV/show appearances anyway--they have to go through a lot more "channels" (get official confirmation from the skater's agent, etc.) to post that kind of information than a regular, non-sanctioned fan site would.
It's still disappointing how this particular appearance seems to have passed almost everyone by, though! Edited by: jcspkbfan at: 12/14/03 10:53 am

Actually, I did have a chance to briefly see that official website, jcspkbfan!! I've only been online myself since earlier this year, but I remember one job I had where I was standing behind a co-worker's desk. They had internet access for their job, so when I saw them goofing around on the net, I asked them to see what they could find on Kurt. The official site came up, and I stood there looking over their shoulder exploring the site for awhile (ahem ... until the supervisor came back, of course ... tsk!tsk! naughty workers!!)
