Give a physical description of your character:
Eyes: Green
Hair: Jaw-length black hair, usually messed up stylishly
Skin: Extremely pale
Height: 5,9
Build: Quite skinny, but not gawnt. He is no stronger than any average teenager, but he is a little bit experienced in street fighting.
Clothes: Just an example of what he wears on a day-to-day basis - A fitting shiney black extremely short-sleeve shirt - A tight long sleeve fishnet top covering previously explained items - A tight PVC skirt and knee-hi leather tie-up boots.
Describe his personality:
Lain loves music, and plays the piano as often as he possibly can (the people who looked after him owned a piano that was never played, and it turned out it was his natural talent). He loves prog-rock, industrial and classical (but only likes playing classical, not listening to it). Some bands he is into include-

He is very intelligent and rather open minded towards most things. He makes friends easy with those who have a complicated mind. He doesn't waste his time with the simple minded people of this world or ones that ignore his respect. He is a lot easier going on the opposite gender. Because of this fact, he has a lot of trouble dressing as a male. You will usually spot him looking very feminine and glamorous. He is not a cross-dresser - He just enjoys wearing skirts (long or short) and mid-drift tops among other things. I repeat - He is NOT a cross-dresser.
He is humorous to those who understand his sense of humor, and nice to those who can accept his brutal honesty and extreme judgment.
Lain is in constant self-motivated trouble because a lot of his intelligence comes from experience. He is an extremely independent teenager and would have walked into Fluffies room just so he would no longer be ignorant to what was in there in the first place. Lain is also quite a quiet man, unless he is in the company of someone to whom he likes.
He is also extremely charming when he tries to be.
Explain his history:
Lain’s parents are unknown to him, and it is one of his few touchy subjects. He despises family, and his lack thereof. Since before he could remember, he has been shifted from foster home to foster home. More often than not, the reasons included his inability to associate himself with others and aggressive nature towards those who try. He just felt as if he didn’t belong, and others attitude towards him, confirming that thought, didn’t help.
(Lain clearly doesn’t know this, but he doesn’t fit in because he subconsciously doesn’t want too)
At the age of 10, Lain made his first accidental “magic trick”. A 15 year old boy named Trent who saw him as an easy target decided to give him a bit of trouble. Trent and one of his friends (Jake) eventually cornered Lain, and were just being general bullies (shoving, laughing at his reactions, etc). Eventually, in all wasted efforts to break free, Lain stared into Jakes eyes. After a few seconds, he stumbled backwards, rubbing his eyes, and exclaimed “I can’t see! I’M BLIND!”. While this caught Trent’s attention, Lain delivered a quick blow to his stomach and ran as hard as he could. Lain doesn’t know this, but Jake recovered his vision only a few seconds after he lost locked eye contact.
Since that abstract day, he had wondered the streets and stayed in homeless shelters where ever he was welcome. Eventually, at the age of 11 and a half, a generous couple approached him at a shelter on the account of he was the only well presented one there. The mid-30 couple invited him to stay with them for as long as he wished, on the serious condition that he did ALL of the house work because they were both serious business people (both lawyers), had no time for chores and didn't trust maids due to previous experiences.
At the age of 13, he received a letter from Hogwarts. After ignoring this letter, not knowing what to do this, he was approached by a random wizard who, in short, told him what he was and what Hogwarts was all about. Of course, Lain jumped at the chance to become a part of the wizarding world. He has been at Hogwarts for 5 years, and he is now in his sixth year of schooling
(am I allowed do to that, or do I have to go into an explanation of how I got all my books, and all of the years I was at school?)

Gryffindor
Why?
To be perfectly honest, I saw that your Gryffindor numbers were down considerably… Which surprised me quite a bit?! I was planning on becoming a Slytherin, but I’d rather join something that is low on numbers. But, other than that, my character is bold, courageous, intelligent and a bit better than average with magic (as he studies so frequently due to his lack of friends). Although he dresses very dark and gloomy, he is a fairly progressing student.
If Lain DID have friends, he would treat them as he would treat a brother or sister. And if he had a girlfriend of some sort, he would treat them better. Unfortunately, Lain hasn’t seen much good in his life as of yet, so scarification is an option if need be.

Cerpin glared through his slit-red-pupils at the man he was combating with in the ally. The homeless elderly man was yelling to himself, probably sorting out a disagreement with his second schizophrenic self as a lot of mad homeless men do. In his right hand, the man held a knife and his left was swinging at Cerpin aimlessly. In Cerpins right hand, he held nothing but his own power of limited strength, and in his left, an old coat that he found. Ironically, the coat he was going to use as a defensive weapon against the mans knife was the same coat the man was after in the first place.
”Gimmi the fuckin’ coat or I’ll stick ya”
Cerpin looked at the man in humor ”Oh, the irony of such stupidity. I would, if only I thought it be the only thing you were after. How long has it been since you last had a woman, man?”
At this response, the man started running towards him. Cerpin gatherd some venom onto his tongue and spat it into the mans eyes. Per usual, the man flew backwards, and started screaming and convulsing. Using this time to escape, Cerpin tossed the man the coat and laughed.
”Pathetic excuse for a living being. Even I could sense you were a nutcase. Though, I didn’t need my tongue to tell me that.”
Cerpin hissed and was on his way. Cerpin was all too arrogant for his own good, but it kept him alive. Like a snake, he was fairly conservative and reclusive. This also kept his blood from being spilt.
