.:Lobo:.
-OOC: I hope I'm doing this correctly-
Character's Name: Lobo
Species: (Timber, Arctic, etc) Mackenzie Valley Wolf
Age: 3 1/2 years
Gender: Male
Description: Pic:
Personality: A loner, typically you'll find him as far as possible away from others if he can mange it as sometimes it would be wiser to just be around. He has a strong will and shall start a fight if there is even the slightest good reason.
History: Sadly his past has been forgotten, every now and then he gets a memory though he has no clue what it means.
Joining Post: Never before had he seen such a land, the sun's rays appeared to beam down upon the land. He was built large as his breed had been though he hadn't seen much of his kind around, he didn't even know who he truley was. Memories came and went, travling to and fro and the male hated this he wanted to know his past and that was one of his missions. Two missions he held one to find out who he was all he knew was his name 'Lobo' why he was called that was long forgetten along with who named him. His other was to find a place not just any place, as place he could call 'home' though he had no clue what his past home had been, or where for that matter. A slight sigh came from him a rare thing for the brute to do but he was tired, miles had he travled not knowing where he was heading now he ahd stopped taking in the smells around him.
'Tis a nice land.' He murmered tp himself even he was surprised at that word 'nice'. Never before had it escaped him but now there was no better word to describe the terra he had entered, 'nice' the word burned his mouth causing him to shake his head, trying to rid it of him saying that word. Failer was something new to him making him upset he had never failed before, battles had been won and on hunts each time he gained something either food or knowledge. Failing he had always thought was beneath him now he stood in a strange terra and had failed to rid of a word, a word that shall forever more be trapped in his brain but he now made a vow, a vow to never say that word again. Feeling relaxed slightly that he had made quite a good vow, the wolf sat himself upon his hunches, auds twitched as he gazed upon the terra wondering what wolves would be around. If a battle they seeked he was prepared, if it was pece he may be able to do so but for a battle. He was ready in fact he may look forward to one, tail swayed back and forth easing his breathing after the journey he ahd taken on.

The day was silent and nothing made any sounds, not even the birds. Time was, there wasn't a time in the day that the birds didn't sing. Perhaps they realized the reign of the wolf was now beginning. The large male found himself on border patrol, the acceptance of a new wolf had energized him to scan the borders. Dakota lifted his muzzle to the sky and quickly picked up the scent of another, a little older then himself, a male, and a traveler.
Dakota's pace quickened as he headed east towards the scent. Yes, the one he saw was in fact brethren. As Dakota trotted towards the male he arched his tail over his back, picked up his head, stood his ears erect, and stiffened his legs. Within a few feet of the other male Dakota stopped. Greetings, and welcome to these lands. What wishes have you to fulfill standing at my borders? I would assume you wish to join? If so, state your name,he said in a deep and flowing voice.
A soft wind blew by, tossing his pelt and freeing loose and dead fur. As the wind ruffled his fur he seemed to look more aggressive and dominant. This was his land, and any wolf that seeked acceptance would have to show proper discipline and submission. This wolf seemed as the type that wouldn't fully submit but would still prove a strong aspect to a pack. As Dakota awaited an answer his pale yellow, almost white eyes, bore into the other's commanding him to look away.Edited by: SilentxxDestiny at: 9/13/04 1:52 pm
Re: .:Lobo:.His head dipped, ever so slightly as if saying what the other was already thinking. He wasn't going to be some wolf to push around, maybe at one point in his lost past he was but not now, not ever again. His eyes caught the others far to quickly but ingored the command in them, instead his auds twitched slightly before he spoke. ¤My dubbence? Tis Lobo.'¤ He replied tail swayed slightly as he spoke, he could tell this male was an alpha. It was quite simple as he held power in the air, but Lobo wasn't ready to bow down. A slight nod here and there was enough respect untill this alpha earned his respect. Of course he wasn't going to tell this alpha that, heck no he wasn't that stupid, but it would be placed in his mind prehapes where his past had once been but it was too late to regret his choice now, it was there. His grey hue moved slightly upon the blow of the wind, but the male did nothing about it, his eyes rested upon the alpha unmoving, as if frozen. Words, who told him them? Why? And why were this question coming now? The brute simply twitched one ear showing no sign of weakness of his lost past.Edited by: Lobo at: 9/13/04 6:17 pm
The large gray wolf eyed the one dubbed Lobo. If he accepted the other into his pack, Dakota knew Lobo would be a hard wolf to command. He couldn't help but grin inwardly, by the looks of it Lobo posed a challenge to Dakota's leadership; perhaps a wolf like this would make the strong Alpha even stronger. Other would see the other as a possible threat and decline his requests. Not Dakota, he saw the bright side of things, always, but when he needed to assess a situation at all angles he did, even if it meant being negative.
Dakota continued to stare in the others eyes and finally spoke,A rebel it seems. What skills do you posses that you think make you better then anyone else? Have you any loyalty towards others? Answer me truthfully and I shall consider allowing you to set paw into my lands. Give me only lies and you may soon find yourself back on the trail searching for another pack with scars that you will bear for your entire life.
As Dakota examined the white and gray wolf he was thinking over all possible troubles this other may give him. As he thought he couldn't help but wonder what had made this wolf so arrogant and proud. Too proud this wolf was at the borders for Dakota's liking. Perhaps this wolf will be more respectful once I get to know him. Until he answers my questions I reserve judgment, he thought.
Re: .:Lobo:.Eyes blinked once slightly amazed, this alpha knew what he was doing unlike some of those others he had meet. How it scared him they had gotten the rank alpha, but this one seemed differnt, one looked like a skilled fighter outside and inside. No reaction came across the brute's face before. ¤Skills? That all depends each wolf has a different thought on that word.¤ He replied his accent stung his words more then it had before he pretended to ingore that word 'rebel' but it was but the truth, Lobo had made it a part of him even though a small one. ¤If I have had been loyal before tis the past, the rare past that is forgotten¤ He added, auds twitched surpised at how much this wolf thought of truth. It was understandable of course but never before had any wolf said that. ¤Lies, they are the falling of an empire without them this world would be a better place.¤ He said simply tail swayed slightly this was his own way of saying he did not lie and could not lie. Of course how could the male know that? He could not speak and convince the alpha, as when a mind is set on one thing tis hard to change it. Eyes were still upon the alpha though they moved for a split second, to scan the terra, as if creating a image in his mind.
For a few moments Dakota said nothing but listened to this wolf's words. Indeed, this wolf was truthful. Dakota respected that in anyone, no matter who they were. Yes, Lobo's words were true, the world would indeed be a better place without lies. Dakota was careful in examining the wolf more closely, his answers allowed the Takahe to see more clearly.Very good, those answers I respect. By skills I mean what you are best at.
Hm, he can't remember ever being loyal. He can't even remember his past, Dakota thought. Perhaps he'll be able to remember in the safety that a pack offers. The wind was beginning to die and the sun was rising higher into the sky. Once more the silence of the island was broken by a bird's chirp. Soon the island's population began to move and make sounds, as if they sensed the tension in the air had been lifted.
Dakota's tension in this wolf had indeed diminished slightly however it still remained. He couldn't let his guard down, not for one second while this wolf had a loner's mind. Dakota knew that a loner had trouble in a pack, and in most cases never fully became one with the pack. He knew well, having been a loner before but he was one of the small percentages that managed to fit into pack life well. Now he preferred the comforts of a pack to the high mortality rate of a loner. Within time, if Dakota accepted Lobo, he would be able to let his guard down and not watch this rebellious wolf every minute of the day and night.Edited by: SilentxxDestiny at: 9/13/04 7:16 pm
Re: .:Lobo:.The brute blinked though made not deal of it as his mind wanted to. Respect, was a strong word that was one thing he rembered this alpha clearly had wisdom though he still did not fully respect him for some reason or another. For some reason he could tell this alpha knew about his past. Or his past he had forgotten, but his face showed no sign of what he was thinking. His eyes closed for a brief moment of course that's what skills meant but he had heard so many different versions of the word it grew hard to tell what others thought of skills. ¤Fighting, I belive has been one of my talents¤ He said eyes opening as he spoke, his eyes had moved back to Dakota for a minute before he spoke once more. ¤Though fighting is not a skill unless the keeper makes it that way¤ He added accent stung these words but the male did not notice or if he did he chose not to as a question about the accent would be brought up, and he did not know the answer. If his past is unknown it would be quite clear he did not know where the accent had come from. ¤Hunting may also be considered a skill, though I do not know of any other¤ He said ending his small speech if you could call it a speech, he turned back to the alpha awiating his response prehapes more respect would come forth, but the changes were slim, very slim.Edited by: Lobo at: 9/13/04 10:46 pm
The gray male narrowed his eyes as he listened to Lobo speak. When at last the white and gray male had finished Dakota thought, he would make a wonderful Itopa. Sadly I'm not sure I can entirely trust him. Within time, however, I think trust will build. For several moments he thought of what rank would be well for this male. After a while Dakota said softly,Your skills would do well for a high rank like Itopa, yet I do not know you well, and to be quite honest, neither do I fully trust you.
Yet, perhaps there is a place for you within my pack. Before I make a final decision I must ask you one more question. What have you to offer to my pack? I don't mean skills or talents. I mean exactly what I said. What can you offer to improve this pack? The answer Dakota would receive would determine the other's future. Lobo's answer would determine his position within the pack or his life without one. Dakota stood and waited patiently for Lobo's answer. Answer well and truthfully, thought Dakota. Your very fate depends on it.
Re: .:Lobo:.He stood stiffly, not moving as he lisented intendly to the alpha's words. Rank? His auds twitched at this word, a word he belived he had never expericened, his shook did not appear upon his face as he awaited his tiem to speak. If he had barley a brain he would have joked around, speaking foolishly, but the brute was wiser that far wiser. ¤Loyality, a pack is nothing without loyality I belive?¤ He didn't say it as a question but more of a statement as if he wasn't 100% sure this was correct but was pretty close at about 90%. He wasn't to worried about his response as others might be as he spoke from his knowledge, and truth and if one would not belive that he could do nothing about that. His orbs closed for a brief moment as if wondering if he had truley said everything, his mind whirled around for a moment before his orbs opened once more. ¤Trust, though loyality falls into it as nothing in this world would be anything if not for trust and loyality¤ With that said he gave a brief nod as if a sign he had said all he could and would awiated the response of Dakota, he hated being hung against another words but sometimes one could not help it and should be patience. This was one of those times. He simply swayed his banner slightly as his gaze was upon the alpha wondering what would occur.
Try to keep to a two paragraph minimum of non-spoken text, please. If that's hard for you to do then at least keep to a two paragraph post, as long as both paragraphs are not full of spoken words. And go to the RP Help forum and I will help you improve your post length. However, other then the posting length, you are a skilled RPer ^^
Oh yeah! And I enjoyed RPing this bit out with you, you're skilled RPer. I'm looking forward to future stories with you ^^
I know.. -sighs- I'm being a nag but please do spell check either on word or click the spell check button below.

The large Takahe held his posture of leadership over Lobo. His auds flicked as he listened to the other's words. Loyalty, a pack is nothing without loyalty I believe? Dakota couldn't help but grin and thought, He seems unsure. Though he has no idea how correct he is. The alpha remained silent and waited to see if Lobo would speak again. Sure enough the some what smaller male did speak. And Dakota gave him the same amount of attention as he had done before.
Trust, though loyalty falls into it, as nothing in this world would be anything if not for trust and loyalty Dakota's eyes brightened as he saw hope for this wolf after all. When at last the alpha was sure the other had finished speaking he bowed his head respectfully to Lobo and then lifted his head over the other's once more. To many it was clear Dakota was rather laid back for an alpha and treated most of his pack as equals, ranks, Dakota didn't truly believe in. However, skills he did, and skills along with truthfulness and honesty was what, in his eyes, made a wolf the rank he was.
Lobo would be no exception to this rule, but Dakota couldn't grant this new comer a high rank. The alpha still needed to get to know the wolf before making a final judgment. For Dakota this was a dilemma. Lobo didn't fit into any of the lower ranks, but fit in the higher ranks. Yet, the alpha couldn't put full trust into an unknown canine and give him a high rank upon acceptance. Sagloga, thought low it may be, seemed the right rank to put Lobo in as the wolf had a lot of potential to be of high rank. But perhaps Sakpe would work for the wolf as well.
After several moments, Dakota looked into Lobo's eyes.Welcome to Deniya River Valley. You shall be granted the rank of Sakpe. The rank, though high it may seem to you, is but a hunter. Until trust is built on a firm foundation between us that is the rank you shall remain as. Within time, trust may form between us and at said time I shall raise your rank.
Re: .:Lobo:. OOC:
Thank you, -bows- It is an honor to roleplay with you, as you show skill that I never thought I would be able to roleplay with. Thank you for the suggestions I shall take them up and use then. I am sorry for my spelling errors though spelling has never been my strong point. Again I thank you kindly for the suggestion and what I need to do.

A glint of surprise carried in the male's eyes, he was allowed in a pack? Breeze ruffled up his fur slightly, ingorning the pounding questions among his head. Why was he allowed to be a part of a pack? Skill, trust, all these things and more clouded his mind. He quickly cleared his head knowing it would be unwise and not like him to show any signs of this. Instead his maw dipped, as a sign of respect even if only a little bit it was still some. Prehapes Lobo finally decieded Dakota seemed to be a wolf that had earned his respcet. Or maybe he felt he had to, either way the dipping of his maw was a small sign of respect.
¤I thank you for allowing me to be a part of your pack¤ He said eyes held something in then, prehapes it was thanks, or that he would be a loyal member maybe both, or something else, something noone would dream would be held in his eyes. ¤Of course, a rank is given to those trusted it would be quite foolish for a wolf to give a high rank to some wolf he didn't know that well.¤ He added he knew trust was earned by telling the truth and he was willing to do so. But still he wondered why, why was a word he hated to aslk himself as he felt he should know himself but no he didn't. His face didn't show any emotion, or if it did hopefully Dakota wouldn't notice not that he minded but he prefered not to.Edited by: Lobo at: 9/16/04 9:37 pm

The alpha couldn't keep a small bit of humor from dancing in his eyes at the other's shock. Dakota lifted his lips in a wolf grin and watched Lobo get himself under control. Dakota understood the wolf's confusion. Loners were not as easily trusted as a wolf who had once been pack. He, himself, had had trouble with that when he was a year younger. Perhaps Dakota saw the potential in the wolf that no other Alpha had bothered to take notice too. He knew the initial thought was 'A loner. They can't be trusted. They'll turn on me or my pack'. Dakota knew such was not the truth.
The gray wolf wasn't too surprised at Lobo's show of respect. Dakota understood well the thoughts of a loner. In most cases they want respect from another before they show respect. Such was the same as to be shown trust is to get trust. Dakota listened to Lobo speak and then he grinned once more.Welcome to my pack,Dakota said softly.Follow me to my lands that have now become your home. With that, Dakota turned around and trotted towards the heart of Deniya. He kept his auds turned towards the other to see, or rather hear, if he was following.
