Meat & Potatoes
Sure I hate their name, but Meat & Potatoes are one damn good band! Last night, I caught their "reunion" at The Hungry Tiger [renovated and bigger, it's much more band-friendly]. Billy Megofna, Mike Crivalone, and an ensemble of guitarists & bassists [including our own Mike Ringland] made excellent noise with covers of Black Crowes and Zeppelin done RIGHT. They played some originals [a song by Matt Zeiner... or did his dad write it? was sung with gusto by drummer Mike Criv] and generally kept shit-eating grins on all of us.
