Next season. . . Well there's news on next year's season. 1) ALAIS will be back for sure. 2) It will start back up in January. 3) It will run every week for 20 weeks with no repeats or premptions. tv.zap2it.com/tveditorial...7C,00.html Thoughts anyone? |

dont know how to react!!! i guess it will be good but then again.... jan is far... and i did not mind the weeks off so much.... anyway, what can I do about it right? cannot believe it.... |

Re: Next season. . . This is the beginning of the end, folks. ABC is doing this with "The Drew Carey Show", which was on the air for 9 seasons - the last season they're burning off by playing all of the episodes in the summer. I get a bad feeling that this is ABC's way of getting rid of Alias all at once so they can put on other shows in the all important sweeps weeks. Barry |

Re: Next season. . . I disagree. They did this with NYPD blue, mainly because of Monday Night Football, but it did better in the ratings after they switched to this schedule (granted since then it's fallen, but it did well for a time). AND the important sweeps periods are November, February, and May. The 2 most important are February and May. . . I may be wrong but I believe those are both within 20 months after January. I think (as long as it works for the show) I like it. Granted the wait until then will be long, but I really hate the wait in between episodes. Actually I think they should have done it this way from the start. All we can hope is whatever new show come out on the other stations next year are bad, or get canceled by January. People may be looking for something new to watch on Sunday nights. My biggest fear is ALIAS will be another X-Files. . . remember ALIAS put the last nail in that coffin. |
