Page's Arrivals((open to anyone))
Tristan jumped off his little pony and pulled his puppy out of his saddle basket. He was quite lost, so he decided to wait there a while for someone to help him.

((OOC: I've decided to NPC Thom for a while so you can have something to do, since he needs to arrive about now anyhow.))
A sullen looking redhead pulled his stout pony abruptly to a halt in front of the palace. Next to him, his dark-haired man-at-arms looked around in what seemed like resigned unhappiness. "New page?" the boy asked Tristan, although he seemed as if he didn't want to talk at all. Thom of Trebond did not want to be here at all. He missed his sister, he missed his home, and already he hated the palace with a passion.
Re: Page's Arrivals((open to anyone))
Tristan nodded his head sadly. "Yourself?" he asked in a voice that sounded half homesick, half scared out of his wits. He didn't want to be here. 'I should be at the Convent and Kat should be here...it isn't fair..' he thought sullenly

"A new page also, unfortunately," Thom replied. He looked around him, a decided scowl on his face, and then asked, "Any idea where we're supposed to be?"
Re: Page's Arrivals((open to anyone))Thom looked nervously at the other boy. "Well, if you're too embarrassed to say anything, then I'm just going to leave," he said heatedly.
((Umm...I need someone to play Coram...just for a while...I've got plans for him...if it's not too much trouble...))
Re: Page's Arrivals((open to anyone))
Tristan fidgeted nervously. "Please, don't go, I don't know what I'm supposed to do. I don't like it here. My sister's the fighter in my family." he said, trying to keep the boy from leaving.

Re: Page's Arrivals((open to anyone))
Thom stood stock still at the boy's words. He gave a sort of sigh and turned to the kid once again. "Yeah, mine too," he said. He really didn't want to be this person's friend. He didn't want to be anyone's friend. But this person may be able to help him. And after that, he could be dumped.
Re: Page's Arrivals((open to anyone))
Tristan took the hand. "Tristan of Dun Indewood..." hus voice faltered a little, Thom was very intimidating. "W-what shoulde we do now?" he said, completely relying on Thom to take the leadership position.

Re: Page's Arrivals((open to anyone))
Thom accepted the offering of leadership immediately. He thought for a minute, then made a decision. "I guess we should just follow Coram, the knight I came with..." He looked around for said knight but didn't see him. He shrugged, "Oh well, I figure we can find someone in the palace to help us."
Re: Page's Arrivals((open to anyone))
Coram had had enough of this foolish child's antics. For one, the child knew not how to fight, and for another... he had magic.
Coram shuddered at the thought, then suddenly straightened, lookign about him for members of the Guard. He did not want to appear cowardly in front of his fellow Guardsmen. What were they to think if they knew he was deathly afraid of magic? Coram decided not to think upon that at the moment.
Lookign every which way, he realised that he had somehow lost the little brat. Coram settled the sword on his back into a more comfortable position, then set off on his horse to find the kid. Turning a corner, he noticed a mop of violent red hair. "Thom!" he called out to catch his attention. "You follow me, you hear? Next time, you stick with me! Who's that?" he queried as he came closer, seeing the boy that Thom was speaking with.
Re: Page's Arrivals((open to anyone))
"Tristan," Thom said. He would rather go off with Coram alone, to begin with Coram's punishment for telling, but that wasn't an option with his new 'friend' here. "He's a new page as well," Thom said, settling himself on his pony. In all appearances of trying to make a new friend, Thom said, "Would you come with us, Tristan?"
"A new page, eh?" Coram asked gruffly. "Seems to be too many of the brats around," he grumbled to himself. Sitting straighter in the saddle, he nodded his head to the young noble boy, Tristan it must be. "Gooday milord." he greeted.
He turned to Thom again. "We need to speak with his Grace first, child, so no he cannot come with us."
Re: Page's Arrivals((open to anyone))
Secretly, Thom was happy about this, but he did not show it outwardly. He pretended to pout, and then brightened slightly. "Well, Tristan, I guess I'll see you later. Bye." He turned to follow Coram out.
Re: Page's Arrivals((open to anyone))
((Or how about we get Thom settled in his room first. We'll pretend that the meeting has already happened, or push it back til after Thom is settled in his rooms?))
Re: Page's Arrivals((open to anyone))
Tristan sighed when Thom and Coram left. They didn't seem very nice. He decided to go into the palace and try to find someone to help him...

((I need to introduce Byron, and if Tristan isn't doing anything they could meet in the Palace somewhere, if you wanted to))
