Re: Pink Floyd
well since i'm old my favorite pink floyd flash back song is PIGS
Big man, pig man, ha ha, charade you are
You well heeled big wheel, ha ha, charade you are
And when your hand is on your heart
You’re nearly a good laugh
Almost a joker
With your head down in the pig bin
Saying ’keep on digging’
Pig stain on your fat chin
What do you hope to find?
When you’re down in the pig mine
You’re nearly a laugh
You’re nearly a laugh
But you’re really a cry.
Bus stop rat bag, ha ha, charade you are
You fucked up old hag, ha ha, charade you are
You radiate cold shafts of broken glass
You’re nearly a good laugh
Almost worth a quick grin
You like the feel of steel
You’re hot stuff with a hat pin
And good fun with a hand gun
You’re nearly a laugh
You’re nearly a laugh
But you’re really a cry.
Hey you whitehouse, ha ha, charade you are
You house proud town mouse, ha ha, charade you are
You’re trying to keep your feelings off the street
You’re nearly a real treat
All tight lips and cold feet
And do you feel abused?
...!...!...!
You gotta stem the evil tide
And keep it all on the inside
Mary you’re nearly a treat
Mary you’re nearly a treat
But you’re really a cry.
Re: Pink Floyd
Man, I don't think I've heard that song, Elvira! Sounds cool though. Do you know which albums have it? Lol, I HAVE to hear it now.
And yeah, the Wall's video kicks ass :P The meat grinder thingie still scares me...
Re: Pink Floyd i told u i was old yeah it's from ...
the album's name is "animals" and it's probably hard to find now, came out in 1977 yes i own it on vinyl and yeah i do have an 8 track player that still works
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B000024D4R/104-7411362-5441560
amazon actually has it, that's a 1st check it out
It's funny you should mention 8 tracks because I owned Animals years ago on 8 track and the "Pigs on the Wing" parts 1 & 2 were linked together with this beautiful electric guitar solo by Gilmore. This was only available on 8 track. The album & cassette versions were split up at the beginning and the end.
Re: Pink Floyd
Since we are talking Floyd,I am more of a Roger Waters fan than a Floyd fan these days.I don't think Gilmour can write lyrics as good as Water's.I think "Amused To Death" is better than any of the Floyd albums without Waters."In the Flesh live" is great too.
I sure wish these guys would bury the hatchet and get back together.Prolly never happen though.
