 Ricky on the Spanish Music Awards
On Friday 23, Ricky carried out a great performance on the Spanish Music Awards. He sang "Cambia la piel", with other 2 spanish singers (Antonio Carmona and Estrella Morente),and then, he received the "Latino" award.
His words, when he received the award were:
"Muchas gracias, ésto...,ésto viene de España, pero definitivamente, me lo llevaré a mi casa, y ésto es para tí, España, muchas gracias por tu apoyo; con tu aplauso seguiré haciendo música y llevando nuestra cultura y nuestro idioma, lo más importante, y nuestro idioma, a todas las partes del mundo. También quiero dedicar este premio a todos aquellos que se encuentran lejos de su casa, porque quieren superarse..., porque quieren trabajar, ojalá que nunca se sientan inmigrantes. Muchas gracias por todo y hasta la próxima."
In English, it would be:
Thank you very much, this...,this comes from Spain, but definitively I'll bring it to my home. This is for you, Spain, thank you very much for your support; with your applause, I'll continue making music and bringing our culture and our language, what is the most important, and our language, all over the world.
I also want to dedicate this award to all that people who are far from their home because they want to improve themselves..., because they want to work..., I wish they'll never feel like immigrants.Thanks for all,see you next time.
Note: It was a beneficent ceremony, and the sum collected was destined to India. And also, another aim of the ceremony was to encourage people to collaborate with humanitarian projects.
