Weapons
Blades
Knives, to Taz, are as natural as fangs to a snake. She moves with an easy grace; the point of her knife as no more then a mere extension of her will. While Taz has her personal preferences in regards to her weaponry and sometimes develops an almost crush-like infatuation with one or another, she is equally skilled with every type. Her love affair with blades has given her the time, the experience and the familiarity to become one of the people who is known for her skill with that weapon. To be short, the woman is deadly with them. At close range she's a mix of barbarous savagery and expert skill. She has the ability to target soft, vital areas and end fights /very/ quickly indeed. But given the choice she will almost certainly use her talent and experience to inflict the most pain, to be the most debilitating. With larger blades (machetes, pangas), she's able to maintain pinpoint accuracy despite what may sometimes seem to be a cumbersome size and with smaller blades, her talent extends to allow her to deal brutal strikes with either hand. It's nearly impossible to find Taz at a time when she isn't sporting a knife - a thigh holster beneath an evening dress; a hunting knife tucked in the top of casual, day to day boots. It's an affair for the ages, never ending, more permanent then the rising of the sun.
Fire
To be short, Taz is a pyromaniac. She has an obsession with fire. Pyromania is a strong need to set things on fire. It is all about the pleasure it gives to her to see what other people have to do to extinguish the fire and Taz often enjoys reading about the effects of her activities. Naturally stored away somewhere, she often has matches, lighters, fuel, and in a worse case scenario a blow torch to help her in her pyromaniac escapades to set things to flames. While she can't directly play with it herself, knowing full well that the dangerous element can harm her, this notion does not stop her from enjoying the sight of a burning building or even someone's home for that matter. It's just the mere thrill of screams and anguish that gets her blood boiling to want to do it more.
Description: Like it or not, Taz is hot like black pavement in the middle of July and she knows it. You could fry an egg on that girl. What's worse, is not only does she know it, but she uses it. "What's that Mr. Policeman, little ole me? Of course not. Don't be silly." While it only adds to her roguish nature, it's a gift that tends to only help her out only once. It's hard to rely on your looks after you've put a knife in someone's back. The half-deranged, brown-eyed bombshell lacks what people typically term charisma; that all-encompassing, well-founded confidence that gives every natural leader an edge. There isn't a flicker of that. She isn't commanding like government officials. She doesn't radiate influence or power. Instead there's a certain sort of magnetism. If misery loves company, it's only because the poll-takers forgot to ask if trouble loved it more. Taz exhibits a certain reckless abandon and arrogance that makes it easy for other ne'er-do-well members of society to fall in line in her wake. There's something about her distinctive features that adds to that something that most people either love about her, or hate her for.
Women dislike her, and men want her, and she simply can't help that. Her black hair, the color of ravens feathers, is always kept short, usually always remaining this way. It's hard to determine the length of her hair, and while the longest it has fallen has been to rather slim shoulders, the shortest it has ever been has been has been near shaved completely. It addes to a slightly boyish yet butch blend that some find attractive. Her brown eyes match that of basted chestnuts, yet when a certain light or the sunlight hits it right it gives everything and anything of beautiful honey meant for the bees to feast on. Her skin is marred with scars here and there, but they're usually covered up with the clothing she wears and her height easily measures off at 5'8". Though her personality is hot like fire, that doesn't mean that the way she dresses is often times the same way. She tends to wear leather, black leather pants, pants and comfortable blue jean pants that fit tightly to curvy hips and a well rounded rear.
For most of the tops that she wears, they tend to revolve around halters and tanks, preferring those over anything else. To find her in a dress would be the end of the world itself. If you asked her about a pleated mini or a skirt in general then she may give you a different answer depending on how she's feeling. Her style is, simply put, her own. She wears whatever is comfortable to her at the time and won't change that for anyone or anything.
Personality
• Psycho
» Taz is unhinged. Simply put, she's amoral-- unstable. It's hard to know why - maybe it's caused by the ever popular 'chemical imbalance' or some torture in her younger days. Does it really matter? Suffice to say, she is off her rocker and has never been known to be anything else. Unlike some of the other criminals in the world today, she is far from methodical or precise. Deadly with her knives and the urge to set things to flame, Taz undoubtedly has the talent and the skill to end a human life in one unseen stroke - but given her choice and the time, she'll draw it out until the screaming rips her victim's throat to shreds.
• Vengeful
» Taz isn't the type to go hunting down a grudge. Her life has been so chaotic and so random that if she made it her life's aim to track down everyone that annoyed her, she'd do little else. That said, those that have managed to worm their way into her focused attention will find very quickly that she is relentless when she puts her mind to it. If fortune should decide that her and an annoyance should cross paths again, Taz is likely to remember whatever it is that pissed her off in the first place. It's then that things get nasty, for she will usually enact her idea of 'fair justice' swiftly, creatively and without warning.
• Impulsive
» See. Want. Take. It's a simple way to live and Taz -hates- complications. So she doesn't bother with them. Permission? Delay? Nah, no such things. This trait has served her both advantageously and not. She's almost impossible to gauge at any given time - the likelyhood that she'll throw a stiletto at someone's head is about equal to the possibility that she'll wander off and get a soda. As a result, it's nearly impossible to plan a counter course of action. It's also nearly impossible to count on her to execute a plan exactly.
• Flighty
» Let it not be said that Taz doesn't enjoy life. Everything she does, she loves and everything she loves, she does. It's a simple credo. From the liquor she drinks to the thrill of her murderous escapades, Taz takes a hedonistic approach to life and its opportunities. At times she can be almost childishly playful - playing games, teasing her companions and targets, mesmerized by the newest toy or personality to wander by.
• Amoral
» Not immoral. Amoral. Taz does not go out of her way to purposely and deliberately violate society's sense of right and wrong. She does not start out each day with a check list - today I must steal, I must murder, I must pillage. It is not her goal to violate accepted ethical standards. She simply has none. You cannot violate what you do not have. So, to Taz, she can do no wrong - because she recognizes nothing as being wrong. Much like a small child she exists for her own wants, utterly without the stifling confines of morality.
• Fearless
» Ah, be it a flaw or an advantage, Taz is without a doubt one of the most fearless individuals to walk this time (or the one she believes to be "stuck in"). It's not a fearlessness born of courage, but delusion. Her first instinct is to attack and only later, when she gets around to it, does she even consider any other course of action. She will (and has) attacked entire contingents of opposing forces without blinking an eye - - and all in stockings and heels.
• Not all There
» That's right, ladies and gentlemen. Our fair criminal, Taz, is what people politely term 'not all there.' She tends toward obsession and often finds herself utterly captivated by whatever it is that's holding her curiousity at the moment. Among her other 'quirks', she delights in causing pain, wreaking havoc and being a general vector for discord.
• Addict
» It's true. Taz has a speed problem. She's been walking the wire since she was about sixteen and, while she had no choice but to sober up in prison, it remains a substantial temptation in her life. She doesn't go out looking for the drug as often as she once did, but the chances that she'd turn it down if she came upon it are pretty small. Barring, of course, the usual exceptions (life, limb, a date with a hot guy). She's almost guaranteed to slip back at some point or another - how far back is a question that will be answered then.
