A heavy frost has descended on the castle, looking more like snow has fallen than anything. Yet by midmorning, the frost has melted off leaving quite a muddy trek for anyone heading down to CoMC. The wind is dreadfully chilly so don't forget your house scarf if you're heading out anywhere farther than the castle. Even the lake is beginning to show tinges that winter is rapidly approaching.
The Walkers
What is your character's full name: James Walker
Played by: Techy El Nerd
Give a physical description of your character: James Walker is extraordinary in his odd appearance. At a full seven feet tall with hair blackish-blondish-reddish brown and skin halfway between darkest black and palest white, this thickly muscled, slow-looking teen is about as odd as it gets. He is thickly muscled and broad shouldered everywhere but his hands, which are thin and almost delicate looking- an artists hands, or a surgeon's.
His eyes are large, black, and usually dull-looking, framed by his shoulder-length hair. Oddly, his face and body are covered in faint scars, dents, and dimples. His body and face are an incredible study in contrast.
Describe his/her personality: James is slow in his personality, preferring to think things out before he speaks or acts; but once he decides on a course of action he is cheerful, even ebuillent. He is rarely subdued, which contrasts disturbingly with his younger brother. He speaks with a slow, drawling, exaggerated, southern (United States of) American accent and sounds like the quintessential back-country bid-dumb-slow-muscle guy.
He tends towards kind-heartedness and a desire to help people, but this also makes it so that those who cause harm to others enrage him, making him rather disturbing. He never shows fear and he is slow to do things that he rarely shows any emotion aside from when he is being cheerful, having decided on a course of action. With his younger brother he is teasing and friendly, but also more serious.
He is rather intelligent and thinks very deep thoughts for all his slow pace, but is little more than a mediocre wizard.
Explain his/her history: James was born in America to a rather large family of wizards. This unusaul, rather extended bunch has the strange habit of living in hobbit-like holes they call cawehtabs. They are very diverse and widespread, which causes some highly unusual traits, physical and otherwise, among them.
James's particular sub-family (his parents and siblings) moved around quite a lot: starting in Maryland; then moving to Ohio for a bit; then to Alabama; then to Pennsylvania; then Vermont; then Washington, DC; and then finally back to Maryland before moving in with the oldest branch of the family in Ireland just recently. Their accents and speech patterns are thus a matter of what they feel like doing, and so James speaks with a southern drawl, Jessup with a northern twang, and so on.
James is a bit obsessed with the muggle (American?) sport baseball, and plans trying to start a intrascholastic league at Hogwarts like they have for Quidditch.
What year? Sixth
Which house would your character prefer? Hufflepuff. Because James is so slow, steady, stolid, and kind, he fits in perfectly among the like sorts among the Hufflepuffs. His only oddity is a tendency towards physically beating those stronger in magic or power/rank bloody if they do something he sees as wrong, such as molest younger students. This seems to fit more with Gryffindors, as his thoughts fit with Ravenclaws.
Magic: Though, as was said before, James is not greatly talented at most magic, he is a rather skilled potion maker and herbologist. Strangely, he also has a vaugely gigantic resistance to magic.
James carries oak wand one foot and one inch in length. It is very sturdy, rather thick, and contains a single phoenix feather. It is strangely rough-looking, though it feels smooth and glossy to the touch. To those curious people who ask, he says, and I quote, "Ar lianis arli erta-exhaen.". To those who persist, he says "If you didn not understand then it is none of your business.", or something to that effect.

What is your character's full name: Jessup "Jess" Walker

Give a physical description of your character: Jessup Walker is very unlike his brother, coming to only about four feet, three inches. He is also very thin, pale, and weak-looking, but holds surprising speed and strength when is danger. He has large, prominent pale blue-gray eyes; short brown hair; long fingers; and rather oversized ears. He looks more like a cute little seven-year old than the quiet, diplomatic, intelligent twelve-year old he is.
Under his robes he always wears a leather belt with a knife sheathe and a gun holster. The belt buckle has a sword and anvil; and the gun and knife he carries are simple, efficeint tools except for two small engraved plates on each reading 'From Issac Maverick, to Jessup Walker, my greatest and last prentice'.
Describe his/her personality: Jessup is quiet and has an excellent poker face, but unfortuately when he does talk he has a tendency towards rudeness and insults. He has strong will, however, and usually manages to submerge this beneath a cool, diplomatic exterior. He never talks much except to James and Walker, but will also speak to his friends. He tends to look down on his fellow students, seeming to scron them for some unspoken reason. (finish later)
