Re: Thunderstorms
I have always been petrified of them. Especially when they are really bad. I always crawled into bed with my parents. And I remembe one time, I got so scared cuz it was a severe one and home alone. I went downstairs and crawled into a room with the dog. lol This was when I was in my 20's. The dog had a room in the basement where at night he could go and sleep and curl up in blankets and all. So he didn't bark. Even better no windows.lmao

I am not as bad nowl But you won't get me to go outside in one. I will wait till it is done first. But I don't hide any more. lol

Re: Thunderstorms
I am terrified of them. I end up screaming when a really bright flash of lightning comes or if the thunder is loud. My kids think it is funny. You should see me home alone during one...lol Man Im a wuss.

Re: Thunderstorms
I enjoy them. Our old house was on a ridge, and we could open the front door and sit on the (inside) steps looking out the storm door, and watch the lightening hit the next ridge over. I think doing that helped our kids find them fascinating instead of scary.

We talk of doing an experiment at the beach someday, where we set lightening rods in the sand, then hope lightning hits one and we can dig up the sand it melted together. We would watch from inside until the storm was over, of course.

Re: Thunderstorms
LOVE them. But my youngest daughter is petrified of the thunder. She hides with her head down and hands over her ears. So for that reason I prefer them at night when she's sound asleep and I can enjoy them. Sometimes I'll go onto the verandah and watch, but depends how close it is. I love to watch the lightening at night.

Re: Thunderstorms
I love them--as long as they don't turn nasty and super-windy.
