A Dedication As Ellen posted at TSARM : I left a post the other day about the KLVE contest and how a girl in Oxnard California was suffering from Cancer and how much Ricky meant to her to get her through her illness. Her name was Beatriz....and she sounded so frail when they put her on the line...I wish I had her letter her to put in writing what she said. It was inspirational. Her wish to see Ricky in concert and maybe meet him was never accomplished. The radio station was going to provide her the means to be there. I just found out she died on Saturday, and they mentioned it on the radio. Somehow, I would like to send letters and a thread to Pepe Barreto at KLVE to request that Ricky dedicate a song at the concert to this wonderful spirit who did not get to have her dream come true. I hope that you are well,in the company of the persons you love the most. well then,they asked me to write you a letter and tell you a little of what has happened in my life, and that aside, to do it because it pleases me Well,let's start... My life hasn't be easy,since I was a child,I've suffered,but this,has made me.. I think,every time more stronger. Well,but I believe,that the most difficult things have been.. two things:.. Losing my grandfather,and discovering that I had cancer when I was 16. You know,it's very hard to go through this... to be fighting for your life every moment.. don't drop it, because perhaps you won't send it You know,I have to thank God,for giving me a second chance.. .. and to my family. Eventhough you don't know it,I also want to thank you.. because my motive for keeping fighting,is the hope that one day I will meet you.It's my biggest motive to fight.. aside from that I had and have the desire to continue living! You know,one of these days they told me that the tumor maybe is back in my body again . You know,it hurts me that they tell me so,but Im a person that likes fighting for what she wants.. and if the cancer comes back,I'm going to fight again.. because I want to accomplish my dreams and my goals. I admire you a lot.. As a singer,you are number one for me - and I would like to say that I'm your number one fan.. but,I can imagine there are a lot..But you know,if I am the number one that admires you for being the person you are,so marvelous and special! You know,the whole world,and especially in the hospital,ask me why I like you so much.. You know why? For your huge heart,this goodness that you have and the large love that you show to so many persons You know,if I have to pass away because of my illness,it will happen..If I have to go through it again to accomplish my dreams.. alright,I accept it!And you will certainly be the person and my dream to reach,with everything that there has happened in my life. Now you know a little of me,and what has happened.But,my big dream and desire,is that one day I will get to meet you ... get to know this singer,that moves his hips so wonderful.But even more than meeting the star,I would like to meet the beautiful person you are.
