Two Voices, One Love
You were bold,
In control, Insecure
A gambler Needy,

Yet so intriguing, a new fascination,
From that first day in Vegas, from our first conversation.
Vengeful,
Strategic, Betrayed by
Playing to Your lover,
Win Wounded.
Again.
One lone hibiscus, so tender a token
Tempted to run, but fate’s words were spoken.
Then, gentle,
Supportive, Loyal and
Protective and Giving,
True Selfless,
Confused
Denying and hiding, fearing to feel
Long months we refused to face what was real.
Vulnerable,
Struggling But broken,
to get the words Defeated,
out, Your future
in doubt
“No end and no limit,” hung in the air
Awaiting an answer that didn’t appear.
A dazzling
New Year’s Beautiful,
An evening for Glowing,
Two Shimmering
You
And now, one last chance, as the final wall crumbles…
And in the depth of his love, her once proud heart tumbles.
