Quote: Nope. They have chaotic evil paladins in it.
BLASPHEMY!
That's true, but you can always line-item veto that blasphemy out of the book. Personally, I think their (mis)use of the word "paladin" is a sign of laziness. If James Wyatt can come up with "Holy Liberator" surely they can come up with decent names for their variant "paladins."

Re: Unearthed Arcana
Yeah, I'm going to pick it up. The no referred to the fact that I hadn't yet, then I went on to note the blasphemy. I head off to Warlord Comics this Saturday to look it over and see what else there is. Then I harass everyone in the gaming club until they decide to actually come to a meeting.

Re: Unearthed Arcana
I picked it up. There are several things I like (reputation, honor systems, and so forth) and some things that made me scream "No! Not Skills & Powers! RUN AWAY!" (Character flaws in exchange for feats, anyone?) And gestalt characters. Who thought that up? I mean, seriously.

Re: Unearthed Arcana
You know my opinion on the so-called "paladins." Other than that, there are several good things in there. I haven't played any of them yet, though. I might try the generic character classes if I ever get the mood for something that I truly can't do through multiclassing (a rare occurrence).

Re: Unearthed Arcana
That is pretty frinckin strange isn't it? I knew that WotC had a anti Choatic bent, but this? Maybe there's something in the The Book of Exalted Deeds to balence this?
On the Bloodlines, I have a world where being 100%, factory-floor model human is rarer than forest loving dwarves. The bloodlines are a huge help and mimic things like magical fallout very nicly.
