The Battle Sorcerer is a class variant in Unearthed Arcana and the War Mage is from the Miniature's Handbook

Seeing as my groups do not use Unearthed Arcana at this time and we will never touch the Miniature's Handbook... I think that makes my vote clear. bring on the Alt Sorcerer!
