Writing fiction
Hi

I,ve just finished reading a book by Syd Field (The definitive guide to SCREEN WRITING), which has left me in a slight muddle, I have just completed a novel called The Twelve Knight of Camelot. And what Mr. Field's says quote "that the first 1-10 pages should define you main character/s." unquote.
Now in my book you need to explain the plot first as the plot is the integral part of the book, once the scene is set then I bring in the characters is this wrong, please advise. If this is right what he has said then i believe a rewrite is in order.
Thank for listening James
