Thanks Linda. I noticed that their FOB section is more research-based than expert-based. I need a crash course in tracking down and reporting research, or a good book on the subject. Know one? This market would be right up my alley. Linda Moran

I can't remember where I found that first bit of research that helped me break in...but I'd try www.eurekalert.org, which has breaking science news. Also try PubMed: www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/entrez/query.fcgi .
If Willow is still there, the last address I have for her is willow@psychologytoday.com.

Re: Psych Today
My "why can't I just break in" market is Family Circle-- specifically, their humor column. Rich-- Smithsonian's Last Page is another I'd love to break into. Good choice.
Truth is, though, I haven't submitted anything to either in at least 8 months. Been to busy with book stuff and my ongoing magazine stuff to work on breaking in at new places these days. But I refuse to die until I have gotten into Family Circle. Strictly out of stubbornness, mind you. I'll be lying there in the hospital bed penning an essay about heart monitors...
