IMPORTANT: Guidelines for Posting - EVERYONE MUST READ THIS
OOC: Okay, this is Trinity here, your friendly Storyline Producer and one of the Admins. With Niobe and I trying to help get the RPG back into swing, we've decided that we would make a list of some posting guidelines. Actually, they're more rules than guidelines because these are things that we want to see. Some of them, you may not agree with, and I'm sorry. But, the reason why we've put these up is to try to make the RPG more coherent and to make it flow better. Believe me, if you try to work with me on this one, we'll all have a better experience.
1) Please post only in third person. (He, she, they, them, it. No I, you, we)
2) Please post in past tense. (Neo WALKED down the street, not WALKS.)
3) Please write in paragraph form with no extra formatting with the exception of colored text. Colored text is allowed but do not add asterisks. That's why we have Bold, Italifcs, etc.
4) When writing dialogue, use quotation marks and do not write in script format. ("Trinity, get down!" Not, Neo: Trinity, get down!)
Edit by Niobe: This rule also applies for simple spelling. Do not post like this:
"R U ok?" The proper way to post that sentence would be, "Are you okay?"
5) When writing as one character, do not immediately switch over to one of your other characters. Either post them both in the section together and distinguish, or, before posting one of the other characters, identify. For example, say you play Link and Neo:
Link
Link sat at the Controls as he watched the impending agents.
"Neo! Look out! They're right on you!"
Neo
Neo turned and stopped walking, facing the Agents. "Bring it on."
(Cheesy, I know, but I'm getting my point across, right?)
6) Please do not post for other characters, or if you do, make sure you have permission and that you have notified us as it being an NPC character. NO GOD-MODDING OR STEPPING!
7) At the end of the post, if you desire a specific person to reply and it is an open topic, put "TBC - " and then the name of the character you wish to reply. This way we won't have random people screwing up storylines.
8.) Curse in moderation, please. It doesn't matter what you say, really, but be conscientious of other. Do not say F*** this and C*** that. Okay? Damn, hell, and even @#%$ is okay, but, use your heads, people!
9) Posting needs to be PG-13. IF you want it higher, then notify the people reading the thread by WARNING THEM. I don't want to hear that Zee and Link are doing the dirty and that nobody knew until they read it. Okay?
10) When posting OOC comments, WRITE OOC first! I can't tell you how many people just randomly will pop in with a normal OOC comment and people think it's IC. So, be careful with that.
11) Finally, if you have problems with any of these guidelines, feel free to PM me about it with any comments/questions. Do NOT PM Niobe as she has enough to do as it is. Also, if I find that people are having problems with the formatting, I will open up a thread to help coach people on their posting issues.
