Back to old tricks
It was a little after 5 am as Skylar waited at the coffee shop where she spent most of her time now waiting for her thugs. They had been given orders to bring her Judge Sanderson from her 'secure' apartment. She found it amazingly easy to gain access to such a 'prestigious' complex but what the hell, she had gotten in to places in her time with a lot better security and just as easily.
As Claire was brought in and tossed onto the bench across from the Captain the two men that brought her sat down on the outside edges trapping her there as Skylar poured her a cup of coffee.
"So very good of you to join us Miss Sanderson. Now lets discuss my daughter."

Nabbed
"What's there to discuss? She pled guilty to a total of five murders, I'd say she's been misbehaving..." replied Claire in a snide, snippety way. She was generally cranky when people tossed her out of bed in the middle of the night.
"What are you going to do, kill me? You can't intimidate me..." Claire shrugged. She'd heard about Neil from Mike Taylor after the first court appearance. She had wondered what Neil had appeared in front of Mike for.
"Some Marine you are...real honorable of you..." Claire had a nice little attitude, didn't she. "I guess the discipline has faded over the years."
The winds of November
"The discussion is a simple one. Simple even for you."
Skylar turned her face to make sure that she had Claire's full attention. There was little if any emotion in her sapphire eyes. "You will find a way to make certain that Le is turned over to me. How you do it is up to you. If you fail and my daughter goes to prison, your parents will be joining the Edmund Fitzgerald at the bottom of Lake Superior." A nod to the large man on her left and he handed Claire her parents wedding rings. Skylar waited for the events to sink in for her then added. "Their deaths will be a lot less painfully and quicker than yours will. You have one week to decide, in the mean time your parents will remain my guests."

Stuck...
Claire looked at the wedding rings, and her eyes went pale...how could it be? Her parents were all the way in New Jersey...
She remembered her father, the tough CEO, he wouldn't get captured without a fight. He had been a Green Beret in Vietnam.
"I cant just turn her over to you, a judge can't do that. Even if I could, I wouldn't. Your daughter is a psychopath, who killed innocent people."
Claire gulped. Remain tough, Claire, she told herself. What would Mike do?
"You're lucky she pled guilty, now I can't impose the death sentence."
Getting the point across
"Maybe I'm not making myself clear." Reaching across the table she took a firm hold of Claires right hand, stretching her arm across the table as the large man sitting beside the Judge pulled a large skinning knife out from an inside pocket in his coat the grin that he turned toward her was anything but pleasant. Taking her arm he made precision cuts down both sides of her arm from elbow to wrist, peeling her skin back just as if he were skinning an animal that he just killed.

Ouch. That's gotta hurt....
Claire emitted a scream that could have cut glass, writhing in terror as the large goon conducted the torture. She considered what she had said, and wondered if she brought it upon herself.
After a moment of intense screaming, Claire was able to regain some of her composure, clenching her teeth to deal with the pain. Just as father had taught her - 'pain is just a state of mind.' She clasped her skin with her other hand, again emitting a scream of pain.
Instinctually, she tried to fall to the floor, wondering immediately what would happen. Were the bastards going to bleed her to death? Had they already killed her parents? What the @#%$ was going on?
"I'll see what I can do for you..." emitted Claire, returning to her agony.
Point made
Skylar released her arm and sat back once again picking up her coffee. "See to it that O'Mallery attends her before she is returned to her apartment. I believe you realize what will happen to you and your parents if you mention this to anyone. For the record Miss Sanderson, this is not normal procedure. I am not Foxxe however, when left with little resources I can, have and will be just as ruthless and worse." She took a sip from her cup and dismissed her companions. "We will be watching you very closely Claire, further demonstrations of my intent as to the extent that I will use to regain my daughter will be up to you."
It was with a macabre sense of compassion that the man who had been doing the slicing took her gently by the other arm and led her away to their medic.

Back home
After being attended to by Neil's "medic" and returned to her apartment, Claire wandered over to her medicine cabinet...which also happened to be her liquor cabinet. She took a bottle of her Johnny Walker Red, and looked at it.
Filling her glass, which she treated as though it were her prescription, she plunked an ice cube into it, and looked at the splash of scotch in the glass. Taking a rather large sip, she set the bottle back on her countertop, and walked into the living room. She didn't have what one would call a study or library, rather, she had a lone bookshelf with a few books on it.
Peeling a book off, she opened it to the title page. It was "Great Documents in American History", an anthology of important letters, speeches, and writings of notable Americans. Mike Taylor had given it to her as a "welcome aboard" gift at a party the other judges threw for her when she was assigned to the Fifth District Court after her confirmation hearing.
The handwritten note by Mike said "Claire, if you are ever in doubt, turn to page 237, and read." She turned to the designated page, and arrived at President Franklin D. Roosevelt's first inaugural address. "The only thing we have to fear, is Fear itself."
Let's play nice.
Father followed Neil, she was far too intent on the task at hand it seemed to notice ... no one. Father blended in, could easily lose himself in the crowd. He was going to have to have a talk with Neil it seemed. Maybe the esteemed Mr. P would get some company in his current location.
Departure....
Her entourage one by one turned their heads to watch Skylar's reaction to Sandersons decision, some that had served with her during her time with Bad Company bowed their heads in silent prayer for the Judge's family as she took her finger off the send button releasing it. Her face was an unreadable mask as the gallery was dismissed. When she stood she used her height to her advantage making sure she made eye contact with the departing judge. Her bluff had been called, she would answer in kind.
On the way out of the courtroom her people flanked her to the waiting cars where they would pick up Lt Warren. Once out of the courthouse Skylar's cell phone rang as she expected it to. She answered in a calm and clear voice a very simple message. "You are clear to proceed." She and her companions climbed into the vehicles and departed. One half the group heading for LAX with Warren on the plane that had been released from impound for Virginia. The other half and Skylar went to Lener field and the second plane. Baggage was loaded on and the group was gone, its destination White Fish Bay.
Both planes were gone thirty minutes after Sanderson's decision.
Five by five
The transponder planted on Neil's plane was bleeping it's signal back to the equipment on the Leer. Father watched the blip as he debated deploying the devices planted on her plane.
Once more he went over the factory blueprints of the craft, checking and double checking each system and it's back up redundancies. He wanted to make certain that should he choose for the hydraulics to go out, the two back ups would suffer cascade failure. Or the nav, or the ILS... He even made certain to plant a special surprise. Well, several to be exact, but why quibble.
Intel had a destination fixed, but Father did not want this fish getting away. He wasn't sure what Neil had planned next, but he wanted to stop her, one way or the other, before she did any more damage. He was quite certain Sanderson was dead, most likely taken out in one of the many blast that rocked the Crown Building.
The PR boys were already preparing to make a statement about more terrorist attacks, it simply wouldn't do to let the public know that rogue mercenaries, trained by the US Government were now blowing things up and causing mass death and destruction. At least not on the home front.
The insistent ringing of the phone pulled Father from his reverie. Marsters answered and then handed the phone to Father.
The voice on the other end was bland, and to the point. "It's done, Neil's group departed LAX on time. The Coast Guard should be picking up what's left about now."
Father checked his watch, then looked back at the blue prints. "Good, keep me apprised of the NTSB investigation, make sure the usual disinformation gets to the proper sources and give me an update at 2100 hours."
Breaking the connection, Father handed the phone back to Marsters. "Do we have any of those little bags of nuts left?"

Emergency landing
The plane bound for White Fish Bay turned sharply and started an immediate descent.
Flight control tower alerted all other traffic in the area that an emergency landing was in progress and to hold their patterns until further notice.
The plane landed without incident and emergency medical personnel rushed out to take charge of the situation. Two people were loaded on to gurneys and rolled quickly to a waiting ambulance accompanied by the groups medical officer Shamis O'Mallorey.
Another couple, Jack and Janie Sergeant also followed the emts assisting with CPR on the two while Chastity and 'Skylar' stayed with the plane after receiving instructions to taxi off and refuel.
The tall blonde reached up scratching her head and removed the long blonde wig to reveal a short cropped black mane. Turning they re-entered the plane and got comfortable. They could be waiting a while.

Change of plans
The tower confirmed the course change, a medical emergency had been declared. Hadley snapped his fingers to grab Morrison's attention. The two hudled together, watching the blip on the radar, following it's course as it descended. A team was dispatched.
Tyler hopped out of the ambulance, crossed the tarmac to the plane, and started to work. The two ... patients, were loaded up, accompanied by three others who had deplaned. The ambulance rolled, heading for a secured location. A brief scuffle ensued with in the ambulance as it turned the corner, the occupants not strapped down tightly to the gurneys having taken exception to being tranked. Once Tyler's team was successful, they breathed a collective sigh of relief.
Turner's team set about to working on the plane, slowly. Two watched the door as they 'worked' on refueling. Turner gave the signal, and watched as his team members shimmied up the nose gear and into the underbelly of the plane. They should have them all rounded up and secured by the time Father's plane was taxied in.
Intruders
Kim was using one of the planes headset telephone and going over some information they had received in flight via the fax machine. It was very clear that the conversation wasn't one she was enjoying having.
"Listen to me Kadaffi. You know full well that Captain Neil is NOT about to sell you ANY biological weapons. The stuff we secured in Afghanistan will be destroyed as soon as we are able to dispose of it properly and insure that a counter agent is in place. Now, if you want conventional warheads that is a matter I can discuss with you...."

Twas the night before...
Up into the underbelly of the plane, they broke up in groups of two. Stationing themselves at key points, they waited until all groups were in position. At the signal, power to the aircraft was killed, communications went out.
Access panels were opened up, the teams emerging through the floor, assault weapons sweeping the area ready to fire.
"NSA! Nobody move!!"

No problems here....yet
Chastity looked up from her keyboard and kept her hands on the keys but not moving.
"You could have come up the stairs, we've been expecting someone to show up."
Kim wasn't quite sure what to say, one minute she was arguing with a dictator and the next she was looking down the barrel of a lot of assault weapons. Still sitting at her desk she also made no attempts to move. "Would you put those down please. We dont carry weapons in flight. But there are explosive compounds on board."

You don't say?
"Yes there are, but perhaps not in the quantity you are thinking." A signal from Hadley and the teams relaxed, slightly, they weren't about to let their guard down. "Pick it up, move very slowly towards the exit and file out single file."
She kept her hands relatively still but motioned for Chasity to go forward with the men while she remained stationary.
"What is it you want with us? We have nothing of value to the NSA aboard this plane or any other in the immediate area. Perhaps if you tell me what it is your looking for or what it is you want maybe we could come to some understandings."
Chasity removed her headset and placed it slowly on the desk, out of habit she ran her fingers over the silent keys that would announce her exit from the system and delete anything she had been working on.

With the crashing of the keyboard Chasity's attempt to erase the data sent it instead to the printer. Detailed data on troup deployments, weapons in the field, assassination targets and whom was being held where and for what reason. A listing of contacts, buyers and personal phone numbers for some of the larger drug cartels in South and Central America were among the information gathered. Complete information about the Black Market operation that Skylar had built so carefully over the last two decades was on the floor. And so was her cover. Skylar Neil was listed as an undercover operative for INTERPOL.

Picking up the documents, Hadley leafed through them, a smirk twisting his lips. "Wait till Father gets a load of this..." Turning, he nodded to one of his men. "Get them out, have them ready for debriefing by 1300 hours."
