I was going to wear a girlfriend, when a CRX arrived quoted of us has the light. he gave a blow of gas and look at me. I answered him by doing the same thing. When the light fell in the green, one left. When I shift in 3rd, he was 3 length car back of me I. After I slow down. when he arrived side of me, I downshift in 2nd gear and he can see me again go in front of him!!!!
he can't follow me !!!!!!!!! mouahahahahah!!!!!
it's a joke!!!!!

Goos job Dave, even if it isnt a POWER car, they are fast little bastards and just because its a Z24 at the light, he revs his engine for a challange and got beat! Thats the problem with the IMPORTS, they think they will alwayz be faster, they better think again cause these American cars are like sleepers now ;-)

Take care guys, dont push your J-BODY's too much!

gt beats prelude
hey my friend drives a sunfire GT and he beats 2 of my friends who drive honda preludes on 95 sr and the other 97 sh, he doesnt just beat them buya bit he destroys them, a while ago he beat an sir the only car so far that was able to beat him was the integra type r but only by a nose LOL even if he did loose that race we got the last laugh he payed the double of what my friend paid for his car just to be a nose a head. and my friend is all stock and automatic which makes it even funnier so probably a manual Z would beat a type R anyways see u guys lemme know of any races

type r
well im not sure if a manual Z could beat a type R but i wouldnt be to surprised if it does. Those J bodys r way underestimated heck i was looking for an si or a gti myself b4 i bought my Z until i test drove on i loved it. my friend has an sir he drove my car and he says they are almost the same, so its also about the driver... you cant just say its the car.

type r vs z
i was talking about 95-2000 Z24 my friend that stuck with the type r had a 2000 sunfire gt automatic all stock so im guessing a manual Z or sunfire gt would be able to take a type r but then again who knows thats a race i would like to see. one of my other friends had a type r he hated it and said it aint worth the money he paid for it he sold it after a year or so. ANyways me next year i will probably keep my z im thinking of buy a 300zx twin turbo if i find a good clean one. anyways c u guys tomorrow at julep

re:
Don't get me wrong guys I think that american power is the best I can't stand japanese 4cyl!!!! sorry but that's me! Still I don't think that an automatic sunfire gt would be able to take a type R ! It's quite normal it's not the same range of price ! Not too mean any disrespect to the guy with the Type R but if he lost he's not too much of a good driver or just had some trouble that day!

Re: re:
funny that you mention that tonight my friend he just raced a type r about an hour ago i was with him in the car, the guy with the type r wasted the 2001 sunfire gt by like 3 cars, its weird though last time he was staying with him this time he looses big time. anyways no big deal like u say its not in the same price range.

the facts
their is no wat a j -body will even stay near a type -r guys go and try one ten you"ll seee how fast they are..
2) a j-body new are old will beat all honda civics exept the sir 160hp the sir is a bit faster so driver wins
3)j-body will beat a prelude and a accord exept the accord v6
oh I'm talking by experience and the j-body must be manual!

re:
I'm not sure about the accord because if I look at the specs it does the 100km/h in 7.9 sec witch is the same time as for the new sunfires gt and z24

Re: re:
well for the SIr i could tell you that i and my friend allready beat them. all i have is an K&N air filter and a nakayama dual dtms muffler. just with that i am over a 160hp dont forget sir r 1.6 Z24 r 2.4 and way more torque. I dont think a j body (z24 or gt) should have any problem taking an Sir

re:
I don't really think that the cars you are talking about (si sir, z24, and other in the same class) is what makes you a whinner or a looser because they all have about the same performance some more some less but enough to make up for 2 thinks:
1. In what shape your car is (I mean the engine and all that)
2. AND MOSTLY THE DRIVER!!!!

Re: re:
I got beat by a sunfire once...

I was making a complet stop at an intersection... this guy passed next to me and punched it... I punch it too but at 1000rpm in an SiR you are not going pretty fast! ;) :lol as soon as I shift in second gear I started to gain FAST but I had to stop for cars in front of my... one more second and I would have passed next to him soo fast .... now I guess he think he can beat SiR!!! :rolleyes

Pls guys get real... a stock J-body cant beat a well driven SiR, GSR, TypeR, Prelude...

Maybe my engine have "no torque"... but it doesnt matter how much torque you have... all that matter is to have torque where you need it when you are racing... When im racing my engine never drop under 6000 rpm... so my peak torque at 6500 rpm (100 ft/lbs at the wheel) is right at the pefect place.... and my peak hp?!?!?! 137.7 whp at 7600 rpm. And its not like I dont have any torque before the peak... the B series engines have the most flat torque curve you can find... I have 95% of my torque at 3000 rpm... now look at J-body dyno... the engine is dying sooo fast its insane...

So a j-body in front of an SiR.... yeah n first gear maybe... but as soon as you will shift in second gear you will see the little 1.6L DOHC gain on you soo fast... you will be wondering WTF is going on!!!!

Peace.,.. and sorry for my english!!!

re:
hmm Well I think the opposite my parents have a civic and I consider it not even crap because it's not a car it's a little engine in a plastic body !!!!! THAT"S NO CAR!!!! it doesn't mean that if something runs on 4 weels it's a f*cking car!!! I don't say a j-body is totaly a car but it comes much closer to beeing one then a civic!!!! Saying a civic is a car is like me saying that puting an engine on my bike it will make it a motocycle!!!! So don't say j-body's are crap!!!! Ofcourse a 3.1 L is gonna break more often that's because oposed to a civic it has much more POWER!!! Plus in general sports car break more easely becauser there are crazy people like me and others who drive them hard!!!!!
