Re: knock, knock *steps boldly thru the doorway* Hello all, hows trix? Just thort i'd pop in & say hi as i've not been around 4 a while. I've been working night-shifts 4 the past few weeks, as my friend Wolfie, who normally works them, has broken his ankle (poor babe). So i've spent the last fortnight shifting corpses & supplementing 2 hours sleep a day with as much amphetamine as i can get my grubby lil mits on :/. btw LP, wearing driving gloves, & having a tin of sweets on the dash-board & a box of tissues on the back shelf; the sign of the true dodgy geek. Kinda makes you wonder who r they trying to pick-up & why? Tie his hair in bunches, fuck him, call him Rita if you want! |

Re: knock, knock *thread hi-jack* dammit doom 3 pissed me off... wait around fookin 10 years (eggggs-ager-ate) then the game is pretty but repetative and largely a pile of poo... walk thru corridor... imp appears behind you.. blow it away... walk thru corridor... imp appears behind you.. blow it away... and the cacodemons were not red and smiley which was another huge disappointment to me... thats what happens when you hold people up to high standards.. at least san andrea's didn't let me down... other than the music but lets face is the american urban 90's music was never gunna be a match for 80's new wave... doom 3 needed shitloads of monsters and big open spaces to run around dammit X( doom 2 used to be fun.. load a level.. try and get thru the level without shooting once while killing off 99% of the demons... *grease sigh* hopelessy disappointeeeed in yoooouuu ...Friends don't let friends become vegetarians... |

Re: knock, knock I think you people expected a masterpiece from a septic tank. It's a first person shooter for crying out loud, not just that, but it is the sequel to the quintessential run-around-and-shoot-stuff game. Somehow everyone expects a Van Gogh to be hidden in every armpit. The same thing with Star Wars, people were looking for some cinematic masterpiece when the first ones were just stupid fun. I think maybe people need to be more realistic about just how good the good old days were. LP: You're being silly! |

Re: knock, knock they spent too long making it all look pretty and spooky and left their roots behind... I enjoy playing serious sam more than doom 3 or what was that other one.... @#%$.. names escaped me but it was like visually amazing but you had to run for 3 minutes... fight one smart dodging enemy... gimme running flat out backwards firing off every single weapon at your disposal anyday... then again... i miss duke nukem 3d too

Re: knock, knock Quick defender-piece for sequels-of-sequels-of-sequels... Ok so there's a lot of @#%$ out there, but i watched Star Wars Episode 3 the othe night, & that is feckin excellent! It's Star Wars, we're not guna take it seriously, what we want is big explosions & star-ships zapping the feck outa each other, & Episode 3 has it all. Ok, so i'm not a true star wars fan & so can't fully grasp the full importance of all aspects, but i'm glad of that coz i have areal life too.
