tough to win converts
I have not had much luck in introducing Andy's work to people. The complaints about him always mystify me. He's boring, he's arrogant, is that supposed to be funny, he is a misogynist (I STILL can't believe people are offended by his cartoon like wrestling rants, though I suspect Andy was probably not exactly a feminist in real life: ), and of course, the ubiquitous, "I don't get it."
Have others had much success in this field? Is it a risky proposition to reveal one is a Kaufman fan? It's always hard sharing something that means a great deal and getting negative feedback, but I do wish Andy's work would get more exposure, which would mean more dvds and books and ensure his legacy.
