Personal Bio :: Kevien was born a child of a warrior of Ko Ro Ba, soon to be followed by his brothers Korgei, and Kazar. His mother, a beautiful woman by the name of Shaylee, died in the birth of Kazar, and their father was devastated. He began to drink, and for the most part neglected the boys. The brothers drew close together, and Korgei and Kevien raised Kazar the best they could. Kevien and his brothers had many happy times in the City of the Morning while growing up to be warrior lads. When their father was sober, they learned of the Warrior ways, and what it was to be honorable. From their fathers diverse slaves, in the great House of Relic, they learned how to read and write, how to dress wounds and help them heal in the field of battle, and the rudiments of architecture, art, and culture. This, while in no means giving them mastery in these subjects, did give them a good appreciation of the culture of their world, and especially of their beloved Homestone, Ko ro ba.When young, they were adventurous boys, too adventurous at times. One day, while hunting out in the woods surrounding their city, they came upon the tracks of a sleen. Thinking themselves mighty warriors, they traced its path through the woods, not knowing that they were the hunted, not the hunters. Suddenly, out of the woods came a hideous scream; the cry of the mighty sleen they had arrogantly tracked. It leaped to the attack, and valiantly, Kev's brother Korgei rushed to their defense, his spear going out before him. In one powerful sweep of its massive paw, it ripped the spear out of his hands, and disembowled him. Kevien and Kazar immediately threw their spears into the beast, Kazar hitting it in the eye, and Kev ripping open its throat. The blows were mighty from two such young men, and, thrown in panic, very lucky. Fate was with them that day, for they killed the beast with those two thrusts. They were jubilant, at first. Then the fact that their dear brother lay dead before them sank in, and triumph turned to tragedy. Both of them learned a powerful lesson that day. Guilt ate at them both, but the loss of Korgei drew them even closer together than before. Until the day that Kevien left, heading out for the unknown, never to return to Ko ro ba again......
