v-6 swap
I'd like to know how to swap my poor old 2.0 liter for a 2.8 or 3.1 v-6. My car is an 89 cavalier S/W with a 5-speed. I'd to make it a nice little sleeper! Also, my 2.0 gives me about 450k's per tank(approx.28 mpg) Would a v-6 be much different in gas mileage? I'd be willing to sacrifice a few mpg's for performance.

Hey man. It seems like a nice project! I really have NO I dea on how to do that, but I know some guys who work in that field and have put in superchargers! The guy is in the J-Body Club of Ontario and his name is Rick Bolwell. I'm sure he could help you out with that. thanks for the reply. I live in Dartmouth N.S. and I originally picked up my wagon for $150 bucks with 280,000 k's and a few dents and dings, but after 7000 k's it's been a pretty good car so I'd maybe like to fix it up and give it a little more snot. I spied an 87 celebrity as a donor car for $200 so it just might be a possibility! I'll definitely keep you posted.Thanks.

Wow. Sounds like you got a really good deal. When you're finished with it, it's gonna be one kick-ass S/W :-) Good luck with that and remember, there is no such thing as "too much power"..hehe.

Salut Dave, Je ne sais pas s'il y a des compagnies qui fabriques des headders pour ta Z, mais j'ai déja entendu des gars les installer. Je crois qu'ils y a des gars en ontario qui en ont, mais je ne suis pas 100% sur. Je vais me renseigner...

it has a cam
larger throtle body
and will come with complete ECu(with chip) and wiring
all for $800 or the best offer
